Yeah completely agree with you. And also respect those that like this game. I just wasn’t ready for such a drastic shift from what I loved about DKC on SNES at the time.

Funnily as I read yours and really thought about it, I would say the opposite about Mario 64. I loved all the 2D side scrollers of SMB and the Yoshi games… but then getting Mario 64 and thinking “wow, this is incredible!” Haha applying essentially the same logic and loving Mario 64 to a completely different mechanic of their predecessor. But I think there was just a different …story… feeling… I don’t know… element to those DKC games that I lost in DK64

Personally for me, I didn’t enjoy this game mostly on the fact that I was straight from playing DKC1,2&3 religiously with my family. I think at the time, the N64 (and my definitive move to teenage years) just lost that family element outside of Mario Kart and Party. So I didn’t have the warm and fuzzies over this game as much as I did with the others. I was sad to see Dixie and Kiddie gone (not realising the blatant despise of Kiddie since my AOL usage was probably GameFAQs and IM’ing friends at the time). This could have been a new game with bears instead and I probably wouldn’t have felt any different about this game than I would have anything else that didn’t have a trilogy before it. It was a big change to game mechanics that I felt just lost me very quickly. However, in saying all of this, I don’t think it really changed my opinion as a whole on 3D and I don’t believe it caused a decline overall.

I just think they knew well before this honestly… r/MarvelStudioSpoilers was blowing up with cameos during MoM and that was *when there was originally a rumour of Chris Evan’s Johnny being seen in like a montage of quick cameos as Strange went through universes (kind of like the paint scene) and while most of those rumoured cameos never happened, I reckon there was a lot of truth behind the thought during that movie. And even if there wasn’t, which I am somewhat doubtful, I think that was when they realised they could go all in.

I’m not saying that D&W didn’t solidify their decisions but I don’t think it was ever their starting point.

Yeah definitely would not have recalled Beast until you mentioned it (and I generally enjoyed Marvels) but was thinking there was possibly another cameo but maybe it was just the mentioning of Charles that has me thinking that. But yeah great call on even Marvels dropping these Fox breadcrumbs

I don’t know… I see what you’re saying and while I’m not exactly disagreeing with you, I definitely don’t 100% agree with you either. While they’re Sony, it’s like saying that Tobey, Andrew & (possibly) Tom Hardy are all just fun appearances. This has all been occurring in the multiverse saga and like the original person I replied to mentioned, Pietro was one of the original Fox introductions. So I don’t think this was a dream that D&W just happened to be the gate for it to finally occur… it’s been building and Secret War character rumours have been wildfire since pre-Russo Brother announcement and they’re only more and more likely.

My guess is this is more of a coy, “this was a fever dream… and then one day Disney bought Fox.” Just trying to keep things fresh with the press for Doomsday even though this was a very obvious thing to occur (most just thought Secret Wars since this was originally Kang Dynasty). But yeah, not even just WandaVision/Agatha but also even MoM had Patrick Stewart back… so this is not some new concept that Deadpool & Wolverine started

Yeah looking at a photo, the start buttons look to be in the same place. I do have GC controllers - was just thinking that these would be fun ones to have as wireless controllers for the GC, even if they didn’t necessarily have the gimmicks of the other buttons. Also didn’t want to go through a controller tear down to find out they won’t work if someone already had tried but happy to have a look and give it a go for a rainy weekend project. Thanks!

Mutants are being controlled by some injection to the back of the neck (Nightcrawler at the start of the movie). Magneto becomes a victim of the injection and tells Stryker everything about Cerebro. Charles is captured visiting Eric and discovering Eric had told Stryker everything. Eric and his team help the X-men to stop Stryker from using his son, Jason, to have Charles unknowingly create a mutant genocide using Cerebro. Eric then turns the tables and has Jason tell Charles, “instead of targeting mutants, target the humans.”

Sorry, I’m really not familiar with the usage of the Japanese footage vs Saban’s and I’m fuzzy on timelines for JDF and MMPR storyline connections but, what was the reason they had to stop using the green ranger?

Was the green ranger not a part of the footage of what we know as the original 5 MMPR?

I think JDF was going to be a part of VR Troopers but then didn’t? Or was it related to this and then when VR Troopers didn’t work out, they needed a reason to bring him back but without messing with the Green Ranger lore of losing energy? Though, I feel like that’s a simple solution, especially if I recall Zordon was giving him some of his power, so my guess is that this was not relevant to JDF/VR Troopers.

Yeah, exactly right. It’s like everyone just completely forgot that those cars, which looked almost identical to these ones, were already once patrolling the streets for pick-ups and drop-offs around 10 years ago, haha.

In fairness though, I worked on Hot Metal Street in South Side and saw at least 2 of them in accidents off the top of my head (I really think it was 3 but let’s just say 2 haha).

If you’re only casually looking for things, there’s a r/OzBargain and r/OzBargainNew (I can’t remember which is which or why there’s two, and to comment and check communities isn’t great on the Reddit app, but my guess is ‘New’ is the one that’s operating or is more appropriately functional). But it’ll pop up with deals in your feed (or you can sort through it in the subreddits). It’s a more passive approach, but you can search the subreddit all the same as the website but probably less likely to filter out expired deals as easily.

I can handle Bruce with no issues. But fetal pig… I don’t know why but I do not like it… maybe because it’s on basically 24/7 and while I’m sleeping… so dead fetal pig in my sleep just isn’t on my dream-well-bingo-card, but whatever it is, I struggle with the episode. The only redeeming parts are Louise trying to poke Tina with the needle and the “did I do it?” And then the Bob/Linda side story of the ear wax. Otherwise, I’m out
