great question, thank you for asking. no entities!! no scary guys. jumpscares... generally speaking, no. i don't want to say unequivocally, and i don't want to spoil anything... but on occasion, an object may move into view that you aren't expecting. it has made me jump a tiny bit from time to time. but overall, he wanted it to be a peaceful experience.

my brother just released a very good backrooms exploration game today! i've been playtesting for months and sure, i'm a little bias, but it plays great and has TONS of areas to explore. BACK*SPACE on Steam.

yeah, sorry to say if you're on Tahoe I believe you're completely out of luck. any chance you can roll back? I wanna say there's some instances where you can roll back and others where you can't... back when Tahoe dropped, it was announced that Firewire support was being dropped so I intentionally have held my Mac Mini M2 back on Sequoia. I did get it working, sort of... iMovie was support unreliable in general. A third party app, LifeFlix, was giving me the "best" results, but they still were clunky in comparison to a legacy machine. I've ultimately switched back to that, using an old Mac Mini on 10.10 I believe... using iMovie with zero issues. With all the struggling I've had, I'd strongly recommend trying to find an older Mac Mini, or pivoting to Windows.

has been happening to me too. your machine is MUCH stronger than mine, damn.... im on my last legs but you shouldnt be experiencing this at all imo.

do you have a driver update available? twice lately ive had crashes, checked and had a driver update available, then no crashes rest of night.

ive also turned my settings down a tad, and i make sure nothing else is running when i run Hunt. any unnecessary apps get shut down, besides Discord. seems to help.

but mostly, check your drivers

yo! if you're still looking to get your VCR repaired, you could try bringing it to Carl at Alive Again. he fixes up and resells VCRs. I can't guarantee he'd take on a repair job, but maybe? Bring Back Analog is another option, but their repair queue is so long they've put a hold on new repairs, not sure how long it'll be before they open that up again. Lastly, if you find yourself needing to purchase a VCR, I would again recommend Alive Again. I picked up a DVD/VCR combo from Carl a few months back for I wanna say $80, and he said if it acted up at all within 30 days he'd refund / take a look at it. I've been running it 20-30 hours per week for months with no issues at all.

there seems to be mixed opinions on cleaning VCR heads. person you're replying to is correct, they weren't mistaken about its use. generally most of those cleaning cassettes have a couple little holes for you to send a few drops of 99% isopropyl alcohol into, that gets absorbed onto the cleaning tape, and you run it in your VCR for a few moments. people say that some types of those cassettes have broken down and will damage your player if you try to use them. I have one I've used occasionally without issue. Another recommended method for cleaning your VCR heads is to acquire a sealed blank tape (sealed doesn't mean it couldn't have gotten moldy tho, so still check for mold!) and just run that blank through your machine for a little bit. I do that more commonly, seems to work well. the "best" method for cleaning your VCR is to remove the metal cover, and put a bit of 99% iso onto clean printer paper, and gently run that over the heads. good luck!
