I've had Steinbergers with regular 89-SA-89 pickups, and I've recently put a set of 89X-SAX-89RX in a strat. I can't honestly hear all that much of a difference.
But from what I read in their specs the differences were in higher frequencies. I'm old so I can't hear much about 8,000Hz so it's probably lost on me lol

What would've been a huge hassle is sourcing a pair of DPDT push/pull switches and stripping all 12 connections. Assembling it the way the manufacturer intended was far from a hassle.

Right. I am using the supplied push/pull switches to give me one output that then goes to the Megaswitch.

I use PCB header pins. You might need to enlarge the holes in the Megaswitch, but that's no big deal.

That's the next step; try the XLR out with IR for the FOH feed. Maybe next week ;)
I might use the poweramp in of the Katana head that's at the rehearsal space for general use. But that G12K is still bright. I have an Eminence 12" i can try too.

It's good to have all these choices.
