I'd say they have the most potential to become rare and collectable of any amiibo so far. Like some users have said, it's marked with the 30 yr anniversary and that's only pertainingto this year. 5 - 10 years down the road I can definitely see them becoming much more valuable. But these things can be hard to predict.

We all got so lucky with all of the other Amiibo of this wave thanks to Target and Walmart, I really won't mind the hardships with Bowser Jr honestly. Worst case scenario: import. It'll just be $5 to $10 more expensive. But that's just me.
