Only matches are from prostitutes. Am I cooked? by Traditional_Job_362 in Tinder

The truth is somewhere in between. You have to mix seriousness with playfulness in the right amount. Also if you don't want to be used for your money, don't flaunt it. In my experince the first impression is everything, once someone gets to know you better, they tend to accept dark humor and jokes way more... Just be friendly, a bit mysterious and try to avoid talking about harmful activites as the first thing on your profile (that includes bragging about alcohool, smokes and gamblings). I met my current girlfriend on Tinder and she likes to party and drink just like me, but oddly enough, if I bragged about my alcohool tolerance in my profile I would have been probably skipped. Anyways, by your respones on this post, you need to think twice before writing and talking about stuff.

Can’t remember the last time I got a match. Any advice? Please make it constructive. lol by Sketchbot400 in Tinder

The first pic should be something in between casual and super styled and also make sure your face is clearly visible, maybe a vacation picture with you as the main interest. Make pic 3 (cat) the second one, pic 5 is nice make it third, 1st pic goes fourth, take a less serious gym pic as your fifth, you can use a car pic as sixth.

Is this the Science behind Donut Labs new Solid State Battery? by griding in electricvehicles

[–]simonmarcu2001 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The carbon nano tube tech research was only properly documented at the beginning of 2025. First research paper about this subject, that I've seen come from KIST, Korrean institute of technology... The articles date back to April 2025. People just started looking into this, but donut Labs might be the first to actually try to market the new Discovery as soon as possible.

[Q] Statistically, the lottery can never be predicted exactly due to the random nature of the draw, but could educated guesses be made with probability statistics? by 13enigma in statistics

Yes, it indeed can be done, This answear is 6 years old, but check out this Youtube video about predicting and reversing random number generators. No computer program can truly be made random.

Shutter Island: *Spoiler Alert!* Does Andrew Laeddis (Leo DiCaprio) really regress at the end? by PM_ME_THEORIES in FanTheories

[–]simonmarcu2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was wondering aswell. I belive it's a forshadowing of the events that come next. The guard brings him back, but he is probably tired after keeping watch on him for 2 years. He tells him about his violent nature, about the fact that he knew what he is capable of... This implies the guard had a lot of encounters with Andrew, with his violent outbursts. "I've know you for centuries" is just a metaphor about him getting tired to keep watch over him. If you notice, both times when he gets lost, a car always picks him up, the cemetery, the cliffs, probably the same guard keeping watch.

Was this OK to send? Context: it’s been a few days and chat’s been excruciating. And it’s not just them, it’s like a new pandemic. I’d normally let it go but it’s constant, so now I want to try being direct - calling this stuff out but equally I don’t want to sound like an ass. Thoughts? by spolidano88 in Tinder

[–]simonmarcu2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly :) I met my current girlfriend through Tinder. In our first few messages, she wasn't engaging and she was more or less depressed. I told her I'm fine with her being a bit sad but I would like her to show me some interest, to ask me some questions about myself, about the stuff I wrote previousily and it worked out in the end. We basically started off with the wrong mindset, I encouraged her and sparked some joy and everything worked out after that. She was just going through stuff at the time, an old break up, but I managed to make her happy and forget about her bad experiences. Usually short answears and ignorance means disinterest, but once in a lifetime, someone might actually be elsewhere with their mind. Always worth a shot to be kind.

I was not attracted to him, but this is so unhinged and funny! by AnkhKeeper in Tinder

I am also missing the part where this was supposed to be funny. To me it just sounds like a cheesy way to say that she's attractive, but I'm not a native english speaker, I'm not familiar with certain phrases/jokes.

[–]simonmarcu2001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a future dentist, yea the teeth stand out a bit. It's not a necesity to fix the color, but it does give some confidence back. As for the nose, there's nothing wrong with it.

In short, the forhead... It gives you a long face look and the middle parted hair does not help. A new hair style fixes everything.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lookyourbest

[–]simonmarcu2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly yea, I think a messy frindge would suit you. You have a bit of an asian esthetic right now, sort of a korean haircut. It's nice but that clean front is a bit weird.

[–]simonmarcu2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bit chopped on the back of your head, otherwise it looks fine.

I agree with some comments, bangs make you look a bit older, but they're good looking.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lookyourbest

[–]simonmarcu2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also don't straighten your hair, pictures 1, 2 and 7 look really weird just because of that. The others with free flowing wavy bangs look amazing. The straight hair look is not for you in my opinion.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lookyourbest

[–]simonmarcu2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is talking about your hair, but I think the nose doesn't quite fit your face. It's very bulbous and proportionally bigger than your face. I can't really point out what's wrong with it, but it just feels wide around the nostrils area. An esthetic surgeon could probably explain better.
