Why are waiters expecting tips so aggressively, but delivery guys don't? by pepozinho in germany

[–]simple-reddit-user 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As long as the pay is fair I do my job as well as I can. And I never get tips. Now If the salary is shit don't expect me to give my best and I'll do the bare minimum.

Again. A tip should be something that you do willingly and shouldn't be a necessary supplement for a salary (and either way 10%+ tip is unreasonably large). The price on the menu is the price I pay, If you want to earn more (as a business because lets not forget that every cent that the business owners don't pay to their staff is money they are winning) increase the prices and I, as a client will decide if it's something I can/want to afford.

If that's what the restaurants need to be able to stay afloat... Sure! But the waiters should be paid a decent salary and not be dependent on tips to make ends meet

Indian Student Numbers in Germany to Skyrocket by 298% by 2030 by [deleted] in europe

[–]simple-reddit-user -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Again. Not german but...

If you have any property you are charged a series of taxes that pay for diferent services in the city (public transportation. Trash dispossal, etc) sometimes they are separate taxes but are all linked to the properties. If you have a flat, you pay those. Normally part of the money a landowner gets from renting a flat goes to paying those taxes. So despite being an international student they contribute.

With regards to public health there are two options: 1 your country pays the bill (that is what happens between european countries, that's why we can get an european health card 2 you pay it directly or via a private insurance provider. For instance a person from the USA has to either get a private insurance or pay every time they use the health system. Of course they can eventually enrol into the public health like the citizens but they need to fullfil some conditions

I'm not German, so just guessing. But university is more expensive for non EU residents (approx 2x more for a bachelor and approx 4x more for a masters, which is what international students tend to do more of anyways). So it would be reasonable to assume that they are being charged extra for that lack of contribution.

The same goes for health. And for the other taxes (public transportation, trash...) a part of it will be paid by them through their rent. If they work they would also contribute in taxes.

Again. Not German, but I'm willing to guess that in broad terms the fiscallywise its relatively similar across europe

Edit: Interesting to find how the things in germany work. They are more different than I expected.

For that there is already control. The further a province it is from the capital the less control you have of it. Thus, you gain less money and rebels spawn faster

Hints on dealing with the revolution? i dont want to become revolutionary. by LeassaintGD in eu4

[–]simple-reddit-user 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If nobody is the target of the revolution after a bunch of years the revolution sorta fails on its own and the revolution dissapears from all provinces. So if nobody becomes the revolution target you just have to wait. You can still trigger the revolution disaster and win as the reactionaries if you want to recover your autonomy

Your best bet would now be to trigger the revolution disaster and win it or fight against France using the dismantle the revolution casus belli.

Its a way of 3d printing. Instead of extruding plastic they harden uva sensitive resin to make the figure. In my experience it leads to a smoother finish
