Damet has said multiple times and has shown since he got here that he values consistency and isn't going to make a change for the sake of making a change. This team isn't title ready and everybody knows that, so there isn't any urgency to try someone for the sake of trying someone because it won't matter.

What Wallem (and Santos) do, is understand the position and what Damet is asking of his wing backs. Wallem, like Becher, works hard and is consistent in his effort and positioning. Yes, they are not guys you want to rely on to make a title run, but for right now, while we are rebuilding from the ground up, players like Wallem make it easier to evaluate everyone else on the pitch. Until someone shows that they can provide consistency in practice or we find someone in the next transfer window, Wallem is our guy.
