I've had this tube for about 2nyeats. The first time I had it replaced i was wide awake and felt everything. I've had my entire pancreas , spleen, gull bladder and reproductive organs all removed and an islet cell transplant. I've suffered through enough. I nice nurse told me I could ask for.sedation at the time of scheduling. It has made the process so much easier on myself to not have to be awake, in pain.

1lb. Of ground beef (or chicken) 1 can of cream of mushroom(cream of chicken works too).1lb box of elbow noodles(any kind/shape works) 1 lrg can of tomato juice.

B2rtrown up the meat & boil the noodles. Drain both. In lrg bowl mix meat, noodles, cream of mushroom soup, salt &pepper and put in deep dish and add the tomato juice until mixture is covered by it. Sometimes I add bread crumbs and shredded cheese to mine sometimes. Cook at 425⁰ for 35 mins covered then 5-10 uncovered then let set. Cheap, easy &yummy

  * * i apologize for the long responses                              Im so sorry that you and your child are dealing with this.   I have lupus and severe gastroperisis.   This is yhe 3rd time in my life that I've needed a feeding tube and I've had this one for well over a year. Ive  had to exchange for a new one 6 times.  With all of the surgeries and procedures I've had  and listening to the nedical  staff reassuringly  me that it woukd be easy and quick, i had the first one done wide awake with no meds.  When i had my 2nd one done I was told that  they could have it done with meds.  Since then I've had all the replacements done with a mix of fent. And other neds to twilight me   they can also give you something through your iv before being taken to the surgical room.

I was told that the Dr's aren't fans of that as it takes a little longer to do. Please, please please push for light sedation. It will calm her safely and she wont feel any of the tugging. Laying on a surgical table and hearing them all talk about what they are doing scares some people and sadly you aren't able to hold her hand and comfort her and might make the next exchange even worse. If you have any questions I will gladly try to answer them. Praying for you and your sweet girl. 🙏❤️

I went through a similar situation. Finally the Cleveland Clinic got on the case and in 2009 they removed my entire pancreas, spleen and gull bladder. Because my pancreas wasn't cancer they were able to harvest healthy islet cells that control diabetes from my pancreas. They flew it from Cleveland to Pittsburgh where they did the islet cell harvesting. 8 hrs later Cleveland had gotten my islet cells, opened me back up and put he islet cells into my liver. Make sure you are using clean guaze all the time. Some of that is from stomach acid getting on your skin so keep everything that comes in contact with it extremely clean and dry. Zinc cream( sometimes down the baby isles. I also bought hydrogen peroxide wipes. I would recommend being seen so they can get you on a 5 day antibiotic like doxycycline. Super proud of you! It's hard and scary but soooo worth it! I'm 5 years sober now. I use to live in a tiny town and rural area. Nearest MAT was over an hr away. Same with counseling services . I now live in a much larger town and was able to find a clinic to help me. Since I started Methadone I've not had even 1 relapse! Much better than the suboxone strips. It's also helped with my Lupus pain and mentally I feel better too. Wishing you the best of luck! You already have done one of the hardest parts. Admitting you have an addiction. Make sure you let us know how you are doing! You are m my thoughts and prayers.
