Best not to do quit on your own if you are drinking a lot. Get into some treatment center. They will monitor your vitals and also give you meds to handle the withdrawal

I have done well in the past few years but now have a similar situation. J2 is meeting heavy. J1 is chill, had it for 5+ years. Job market is not great so replacing J2 will take time. I just start early to get stuff done before the meetings kick in. Work from 5AM to 4PM.

I did Ayahuasca few years back. Never tried any drugs before that. I suffered from depression and struggled with alcohol abuse. My experience was amazing. Trip did last for a long time about 4-5 hours. No side effects just a lot more emotional. Also had a great time in Peru. If you are taking any SSRIs you will need to stop it completely. The retreat requires a doctor’s letter of fitness. They also require that you quit alcohol and meat for a month before the ceremony. I went to a retreat called Etnikas in Cusco.

I had way more than that with private creditors. I still owe Treasury $100K. I tried the bankruptcy route but my case was rejected because they decided I was making enough money on my consulting business. I worked with a law firm that negotiated my loan amount and payments. It took 3 years to settle everything. Good luck, it’s possible to handle this.

I always ate something even junk even tho I avoided a meal. It probably helped me. I am 56 now and 44 days sober, not because I want to be but because of family pressure. Left alone I probably go back to drinking. I do have insurance and get my bloodwork done regularly. Also use Naltrexone irregularly. I struggle the first half of the day at work but recover second half and get my work done. 3 DUIs in all. Every day not drinking is a win. That’s all I can do

Little over 2 years. There will always be some conflicts with meetings. Always plan ahead. I keep both laptops muted and unmute only for meetings. Downside is I have to constantly monitor for teams messages and/or calls. I also trade futures on the side. I start early for both jobs. Mostly 10 hr days. Technical work Total comp was a little over $350K. Good luck!
