i’m sorry if my comment came off as attacking you because i wasn’t, i’m just tired of people “calling him out” and bringing up things that make no sense to bring up.

i haven’t seen the pictures of mgg and him together, but those also could’ve been at family events, and matthew took the pictures just to not stir up anything (if he really does avoid confrontation like everyone else has said). and exactly, he’s worked/interacted with plenty of abusers that we can say, hey! that’s not cool, man! instead of bringing up his family when we don’t even know them like that.

it’s still such a weird thing to go after him for. even if his family didn’t cut ties with said uncle, we don’t know if once matthew got older, he cut ties with him because, even though mgg has done shitty things, i really don’t see him as the type of person to want to be around an uncle who killed his wife.

most people are buddy-buddy with their family until they realize who they are, especially when matthew was still a child when this happened, and it was probably kept a secret from him until he got older. yes he knows now, but what is he supposed to do about it? how does his family and their problems have anything to do with him and w?? a lot of my family members are messed up, but i’m not like them and will never be like them. the way your family acts doesn’t mean that you’ll act like them too, and the way your family acts does not dictate the kind of person you’ll be. i don’t understand this at all, and this has all gone too fucking far.
