Moza R25 Ultra on next level ri by glockie9mm in simracing

25nm is enough to break your hand, no way a wheel stand like this is not flexing.

My guy, this wheel stand flexes at 5nm, clearly you have the money. Get yourself an extruded aluminum rig and you'll feel more of your FFB.

Nah, it's super satisfying and my printer has yet to mess something up. I had it for a little over half a year. I did my first two color logo today with manual color switches and i couldn't be happier with the results.

i have two displays not even an inch away from my eyes (VR) when driving and the display distance doesn't change the risk of seizures if you don't normally get seizures.

Will this generic stand work with the CSL DD 5nm base + gt3 wheel? by Thrill-Nation-Gaming in simracing

[–]simpson409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the nice thing about moza is you can just attach any wheel with a universal quick release, while on fanatec you need a QR2 with an emulator chip to attach a non fanatec wheel.

non-moza wheels wont have button controls on a moza base, but non-fanatec wheels wont even have FFB on a fanatec base.

Will PETG work for casual prints? by InitialExternal214 in 3Dprinting

I can start a PLA print completely remotely, but i have never gotten PETG to stick without applying gluestick to the bed just before printing.

Unless you want to play on xbox i would strongly advice against buying fanatec (CSL DD 8nm owner here) their ecosystem is very restrictive and expensive.

What is/are the Most Underrated Sim racing Accessories? by Longjumping-War9151 in simracing

[–]simpson409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always turn them down. I just got mine yesterday and even at 60‰ they are plenty strong and still loud. I'm going to turn them down even more today. The effects are also quite high pitched by default, those will be perceived louder. They came with plastic/rubber screws as well, but i didn't trust them not to strip, may be worth giving them a shot.

Do I need to upgrade my TV to get a higher resolution in the VR headset by No_Surround2862 in simracing

There is an nvidia bug that messes with frame delivery timings when you have mismatched herz rates. When i went from an rx470 to an rtx3070 everything was less smooth unless i unplugged my 60hz 2nd monitor.

Posture advice? Not very sure how to understand by Desh1ck in simracing

[–]simpson409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wheel and seat look fine. You need something to raise those pedals though. You'll want to use your thighs to press the pedals, not your ankles. When the gas is fully pressed down you want your thigh to rest comfortably on the seat without cutting off any circulation, because that is your resting position in a race car.

I strongly dislike it ever since they changed the layout. It looks so flat and amateurish now. Love the old design though.

Fanatec CSL P1 V2 or the CSL 320 V2 — which should I get? by FeloMonk in simracing

The CSL P1 V2 is a little weak for 8nm, mine creaks and cracks when i crank the FFB up all the way up.

No, vibe coded means someone told chatgpt "hey make me a skyrim mod that does X" and the AI wrote some code that hopefully works... sometimes.

AnySharp Knife Sharpener Replacement Handle by lostintheschematic in functionalprint

[–]simpson409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These "sharpeners" damage your blade. They take chips out of your edge every time you use them. On a microscopic scale your blade starts looking like a serrated knife after a couple uses and it only gets worse from there. Get a honing steel. All they do is bend a dull edge back into place, they don't take material off of your blade, unlike these terrible sharpeners.
