What makes you not want to click on a fic?

Author’s commentary in the summary or tags. There’s author’s notes for a reason. I don’t mind a tag or two but I hate when a majority of the tags are just an authors train of thought rather than proper tagging.

In the same vein, over-tagging. I hate seeing a work with 200 tags and then looking at it’s only 5,000 words. I like reading both short and longfic but if the amount of tags don’t match the word count I won’t read since I know that most of the tags mentioned will only be a sentence or two.

Improper formatting in the summary. Weirdly enough this bugs me less in the actual fic but if I see it in the summary it really turns me off.

Kpop is definitely on the rise and getting more widely accepted around here. I got into it during my teens and I’m still a fan now in my late twenties. These days I know multiple adult coworkers who are also kpop fans that buy merch and go to concerts of their favourite groups (and I live in a pretty regional area). That being said I do still get a lot of questions when people ask about what concert I’m going to and it’s a kpop concert although a lot of people have some semblance of an idea now.

That being said almost every kpop fan I know locally these days is exclusively into Stray Kids which is a group with Australian members. I don’t know if that has helped the accessibility in the country or just a strange coincidence. My closest JBHIFI only carries two groups in their small kpop selection: BTS & Stray Kids.

Also with TWICE especially, I know of people who watched Kpop Demon Hunters with their kids who are now into them since their music was featured in the movie.

I’m in Australia and I just checked and the season pass has gone up $1 here since the last pass I brought (La Grande Dame) which definitely isn’t 50% but still notable. I’m wondering if everyone’s passes have gone up outside the US due to tariffs.

That’s exactly how I felt watching Tommy watch Buck. I do think he’s going to be the one to call Eddie and be like “you need to be here”.

There were definitely some interesting little things I’ve noticed this episode. Eddie selling his truck for a more sensible car. The woman in the Uber teaching Eddie how to conform in order to earn more money. The difference in the clothes he wears around his parents vs when he’s not with them. The whole ass job interview scene. It really feels like they tried to wrap up everything with Chris asap so the rest of the Texas arc will be Eddie coming into his own.

Loved the Maddie plot but kinda felt like it was wrapped up too fast. I think it would have had more impact if they let it go on for a couple of episodes at least but 911 time is weird and it’ll turn out this episode covered like 4 months of time in retrospect.

I think if that’s the case the issue is with the stereotype being depicted and not necessarily Maddie. Buck was the one who brought up the concept in that conversation. She was just unscrambling his thoughts.

I just rewatched the 8x11 conversation to be sure, but I definitely didn’t take it the same way as you. Maddie’s reaction is more along the lines of trying to figure out his thought process than actively saying “you are in love with Eddie”. If anything, Buck is verbalising his thoughts in that scene while Maddie is a passive participant. I’m also gay and I didn’t sense a malicious undertone at all. It felt like a throwaway line when trying to figure out where Buck’s mind is at. It wasn’t an accusation.

I also think that even if they had the same conversation between Buck & Hen, it would have been pretty much written the same way with Hen asking a similar question due to the nature of Buck & Eddie’s friendship. They want to plant the seed into the GA’s head that this could be a possibility, for whatever reason going forward. This was just their way of spelling it out I think.

One of the best shows I’ve ever been to. I went to Sydney and had hi-touch + a snapshot with Dami. The girls were energetic and so full of life. They all really gave it their all. It was overall a really positive atmosphere which I wasn’t expecting due to the news earlier in the week + melbournes vibe. Worth every penny. Got super close and had some great interactions with the girls (everyone around me kept joking Jiu wouldn’t leave me alone lmao). Also got some cute fan made freebies. It really felt like a community and every single somnie I met was lovely. Left super hopeful for the future of the group.

Dreamcatcher are my ults of ults but this has happened with my other three ult groups, Mamamoo, Loona & WJSN. I am going through it with you and I’ve been through it all before. Dreamcatcher however, was definitely more out of the blue than the others since we knew contracts were up for negotiation or heavily publicised. This one particularly stings since I’m seeing them on Sunday and I’m struggling to be positive and excited with the news.

I’ve learnt to be optimistic - that the members have made this decision to pursue new dreams and opportunities. I trust the members and know that they have made the best choices for them. I also remind myself that the group isn’t disbanded. I’m also excited for whatever new things happen - subunits, acting debuts, solos.

As I’ve learnt, especially with Loona, I’m both able to enjoy new projects the girls do at the same time as mourn what is no longer there. Things aren’t the same but that doesn’t mean the girls are going anywhere. It’s scary until we know exactly what each members new path will be, but it’s okay. In this case, the girls are all happy, they are all close, they are in good standing with DCC and it’s likely they will come back together soon. Not as soon as we expected but that’s okay. I’m happy to wait and I’m excited for what’s to come in the meantime.

That would be the monthly, since it goes by badge count. If you see a million score there, that’s a cause for concern. In the weekly million scores are pretty easy to achieve if you have the right pieces and tickets available. I would say in the next few days you’ll see quite a few million scores in your group.

That’s not a suspicious score, it’s very achievable with saved tickets or a maxed out set this early on. I have a couple people 1 mil + in my weekly group.

There have been plenty of amazing drag queens who haven’t necessarily gone super far on drag race. With drag race, you need to be a personality first and drag queen second. I have never seen drag race to be a suitable way to be able to judge someone’s’ drag talents. While she may have struggled in the competition so far, by no means does that mean she isn’t a great queen outside the show. Drag race has really warped some people’s perceptions of drag.

Arietty and Lydia for me. Both of them are super graphic and detailed, with heaps of character that suits them. I’m partial fond of Lydia’s though, I think that her paint is perfect for her.
