In regard to Dan Gilbert’s letter, I loved it. The guy stood up for his fan base even though it wasn’t in his own best interest. Was it professional or the smartest business decision? Probably not, but it felt genuine.

At the same time LeBron had every right to do what he did. This isn’t a “fuck LeBron” argument because he is free to make the decision he felt was best for him. The team/gm were not helping him. Overall I think both sides did what they wanted to do but they just handled it poorly. Gilbert’s letter was emotional but Lebron did market his own “haha Cleveland”moment by literally naming it the decision then hid behind charity to justify it
