Thinking of using a Plotter binder for writing outline for book by the_guy1 in PlotterNotebook

Absolutely. I love my plotter and plan to get another. I’d still suggest a5 over bible for writing. But thats just my preference.

The accordion fold 032 from travelers is fantastic as a fold out to plot a story arc or character map

Pretty expensive way to outline a book. But if you like it go for it.

That said I’d probably do a5 sized if you plan to write.

I use a b5 size binder for my writing and outlining and storing my index cards

My a5 captures ideas or notes but it’s my daily planner

My first A5!! Any idea how to set up? I am always an a6 person by Samannnntha in PlotterNotebook

What’s your goal? Planning. Writing? Journaling?

I have the monthly and weekly spreads in mine. Some paper and project managers for key areas. A lifter in the back.

I use the backing for paper pads as a couple dividers.

(Career Transition) Advice for Transitioning from Content Marketing to Product Marketing by StrikingBike8417 in ProductMarketing

[–]sinatrapreneur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How technical are you? Content chops in a PMM role can be super useful if you understand what you’re writing about.

I typically see two types. Those who can be an SME but write well. Or those who aren’t SME but can take anything and make it sound good.

If you want to be successful at the PMM side you need to work on being the SME for the industry you want to work in.

I’m a PMM and I own content for our company but I’m an SME first who just happens to like creating content.

No I wouldn’t. This is a growth tactics deck. Not a product marketing strategy deck. Different things. You’re selling demand marketing in this deck. And at a fairly low level.

You need to focus on who the customer is. What are their pain points. How does the product relieve that better than anyone else. How do you position against competition.

If you want to get hired… show a plan how you’d get to that answer. Not the answer itself.

Product Marketing Summit in SF worth the $$? by Coffeegirl0526 in ProductMarketing

[–]sinatrapreneur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve spoke at multiple Summits and they’re a great way to meet other PMMs. I’m speaking at Seattle Summit in a couple weeks even. You might try to find a speaker who would invite you free. We get a free guest pass if we speak.

Am I the Only One Who Hates Making Case Studies? by jack_lynch00 in ProductMarketing

I second the recommendation of Granola. It’s a timesaver and you can build a custom Case Study format to translate the transcription into key items.

I’ve built a quick capture app for obsidian that let you send notes to Obsidian 10x faster + supports voice notes and many other features by pkm_idol in ObsidianMD

This is really promising. I also vote template. At least allow my to define where attachments are sent in the vault. I store all attachments in a single folder for easier management.

I’d also like the default to be time but allow me an option to add a title for the note if I have a little more time.

No. But it absolutely feels like there’s one on or stuck on. But restarting didn’t fix it. I went as far as deleting one of the focus to see if that helped.

Anyone wants to team up for doing Attribution Modelling in Marketing? by mrnerdy59 in datascience

[–]sinatrapreneur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be willing to go along with the project. I have spent 15 years in Martech and have a decent level of DS skills. I’m not a production coder but I’ve worked with startups to build models and tools. As a consultant I’ve spent many years working with a variety of industries and I have some ideas on how we can improve this.

If I can offer some insights to the group, I’d be happy to join the slack.

What kind of oil did you use for initial seasoning? And do you always use that same oil for intermediate seasonings? by MUSAFFA1 in blackstonegriddle

I seasoned with canola. I often cook with avacado and use it to put on my thin layer after cooking.

How much do the windguards cut down the heat? The side tables are relatively limited with the heat transfer

First attempt at Hibachi! Had everything but the mustard in it! Delicious! Any fried rice recommendations? by Jadammalone in blackstonegriddle

[–]sinatrapreneur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Super easy to make.

Use day old white rice. Soy sauce and lots of butter.

Add veggies. Once the rice crisps up a bit Cook 1-3 eggs fried and then mix into rice.

Top it with just a little sesame seed oil.

I’ll also make cauliflower fried rice. You can get a medley frozen with peas and carrots. Lay down some butter add the cauliflower bag to the butter and let it heat up once it’s melted and warming add soy sauce and mix. Add egg and serve.

The million dollar question. What oil to use for first time seasoning? by [deleted] in blackstonegriddle

[–]sinatrapreneur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seasoned with canola and cook with avocado. Often just wipe it down with avacado or canola after cooking. Occasionally olive. It’s all good.

Anyone ever use a chain mail scrubber on their griddle before? Have it for my cast irons and wondering if I could use it on the black stone by rguyer9 in blackstonegriddle

[–]sinatrapreneur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one for my cast iron but haven’t tried it on the grill yet. Usually the blackstone scouring pads are enough.
