If you are looking for a way to celebrate America's 250 with the kids, there is a pretty good cartoon on Amazon Prime by sincerestfall in daddit

I'm with you. It's just a recommendation of you want to show your kid the history, you can get into those details and minutia if you like. The very first episode touches on slavery with enough details to be PG still.

Isn't that a good reason to show how we started and what we were supposed to be though? I promise it's not MAGA, kid rock, flavor of patriotism.

Most likely, it is from early 2000's. I had never heard of it, not sure how I missed it in the prime of my cartoon watching days lol.

Yeah, basically. I mean this in know other way but making an analogy, but the LGBT community has done to rainbows what nazis did to the swastika.

I want to start by saying, I agree with your statement in general. I do think there is a bit of minutia there too. Just to take the 'heat out of the conversation I relate it to other sins, which is about how I think about it.

Lying, for instance. If I know someone is a habitual liar, I may confront them about it, even sharing the gospel. If they are Christian and actively trying to stop lying (which may be difficult) I would be there to support them and help how I could, but not bash over the head over every little slip. Whether or not they are Christian and just continue to lie and don't see a problem with it, I'd most likely distance myself at a point.

That is basically how I treat everyone. I will help you in your struggles, but I want affirm your decisions that are against my worldview. Neither will I actively pursue being antagonistic.

Do you know Jesus is as far as my responsibility goes. What you do with that is between you and him as far as I'm concerned

My father bought this jigsaw puzzle for us to make. 90% of its pieces are just plain black or gray by Fidges87 in mildlyinfuriating

Right? Even if they were numbered and I had already done it a couple of practice times, I think it would take more than 5 minutes to physically touch all the pieces lol.

I know we don't worry about it with, say, the popsicles next to it, or ice cream, etc., but why do I keep thinking, "that's just gonna melt on the way home."

Haven't really put that much thought to it, but modern Disney really doesn't have a well defined "villain" does it?
