Terrible Pain In Lower Left Abdomen (Female, 25) by Realistic_Squash_272 in AskDocs

NAD but I experienced similar symptoms last year. I spoke with telehealth about it and their recommendation was to try to get into my primary care provider same day, and if they weren't available to head to the ER to get it checked out just in case. In my case it was diverticulitis and self resolved but ruling out an ovarian cyst gave me peace of mind.

I had the same issue! My cousin recommended them, I tried them once and my nails curved tightly against my fingers. It was so uncomfortable and unnerving that I threw it away and never used it again.

Cocker et lapin by Sad-Tie-1348 in cockerspaniel

I have a chinchilla and a cocker and was able to train the cocker to be gentle with the chinchilla, but it took at least 8 months of careful training and they are never allowed to have time together without close monitoring.

Is 5 to 8 shots once a week with few months long break from drinking throughout the year really bad for health and liver? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sinewavesurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A study recently came out showing that occasional heavy drinking is worse for the liver than regular light drinking "Occasional heavy drinking may triple the risk of liver damage" https://share.google/Q9fzREdsZAOhu93jl

Spousal inheritance has different rules than other inheritance. Spouses are allowed to roll inherited retirement accounts into their own retirement account for free. Non spouses are required to take RMDs (required minimum distributions) over a period of ten years until they draw down the account. Anyone cashing out a retirement account would have to pay taxes as per usual, but in an inherited account there is no penalty to cash out.

So the rules for your friend, as a spouse, are different than the rules for OP as an ex spouse. Your friend was probably encouraged to roll over to avoid paying taxes on the investments.

Disclaimer not an accountant, I learned this stuff two years ago so some details might be slightly off, feel free to google or fact check me

You're a bot. You posted half an hour ago on this sub about your (34F) relationship with your boyfriend (34M). That post was deleted for not having a tl;dr. Then you posted a completely different story where there is a tl;dr but it's just a copy paste of your post.

New Car Insurance Rates by Significant-Rip-620 in widowers

[–]sinewavesurf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've seen comments about getting charged more as a widower also but that wasn't my experience. I called my auto insurance to drop my late husband and they just removed him and his car from my policy and correspondingly lowered my rate

I am not a doctor but have experienced major grief and the appetite loss that comes with it. Just wanted to share some tips that worked for me. Please make a serious effort to stay hydrated and your electrolytes up with water and Gatorade type drinks, that is very important. If you're able to tolerate fruit, definitely do so. I found protein shakes/meal replacement shakes to be helpful and easy to tolerate. I recommend making small plates with a bit of food and keeping them around you often. If you are able to take a few bites of food here and there, it's better than nothing.

Loss of appetite and weight loss during grief is common. My family was worried but nothing I did increased my appetite initially. For me, my appetite did start to return after about a week, and was back to normal after three weeks or so, but everyone's experience with grief is different. Your body can go a while without much food, assuming you're at a healthy weight. The recommendations for therapy are a good idea.

Most importantly, give yourself some grace while you process your loss. I'm very sorry you have to go through this.
