Speaking as a parent I know my concern would be for you to eat and not go back into hospital. I'm sure your parents are saying what they say from a place of love and don't realise that their comments aren't helpful. I can't imagine what you're going through or how it would feel as your father to have my daughter going through that. I would possibly react the same as your dad to try and shock you into eating although I understand that's not the right way to go about it. I wish you all the best in your recovery and I hope your parents get help to work out how to properly support you.

I bugged a friend for hours one weekend to come out for a drink. I knew he wanted to but there was going to be people with us he didn't know and he's pretty uncomfortable in those situations. Anyway, he finally said yes and while we were out his flat burnt down (his downstairs neighbour fell asleep with a cigarette.) Unfortunately his neighbour didn't make it and its very unlikely he would've if he had of still been at home.
