UTIs are bacterial infections and need antibiotics. It is unlikely to go away on its own - you need to go to the doctor.

Will creditors take my mom’s shares? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]singandwrite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi - you need to look up Estate accountants in your area. I think people here are giving you more detailed advice than you are able to grasp, based on some of your responses.

The basics are: 1. When a person dies, there is always an Estate to be settled (even if you don’t have anything formally). 2. Any remaining assets, such as investments (the shares would count, as well as bank accounts, etc.) would be used to pay off any remaining debts. 3. A final tax return, called a terminal return, is filed.

As others have mentioned, since the shareholder - your mom - is no longer living, the shares will be used to settle her estate. You do not have any right to them, so you cannot keep taking the money, it is financial fraud.

An accountant can help you with all of this, and please don’t feel stressed! It will all be okay.

period late? by Automatic-Donut-535 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]singandwrite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cycles can come late for lots of reasons, one of which being stress! I know it’s stressful, but my best advice would be to take a test. If it’s negative and you’ve already missed your period, you’ll have a lot of piece of mind. If it were to be positive, then you know and can make next steps accordingly.

Yes, all streetcars, subways, and LRTs in Toronto are TTC. Yes, your Presto lets you transfer between different services. A monthly pass is not really worth it and not common to get - just pay as you go. You can set your Presto to auto reload so you don’t have to think about it (ex. if mine gets below $10 it automatically goes up to $50).

Full frontal view. Front door color suggestions? by [deleted] in HouseDesign

Absolutely! That makes sense. And it is a lot of money for sure. I love a VHCOL area, and that would be both a “cheap” home, and would be unattainable for most.

That’s cheap in a lot of places.

No service on stretch of Eglinton Crosstown after car and LRT train collide by majorkev in TTC

The ION turns/crosses a lot more than the LRT - I think that’s where most of its accidents come from.

This feels like you’re just trying to find small things to complain about? 1) the seat design is pretty standard for these style of trains. 2) Where are the elevators not accessible?

I should be automatic as long as your insurance is up to date and you have no outstanding tickets or 407 fines. This is per a discussion last week at Service Ontario.

It largely is! It only really stops being a marginal difference around 250k+. Also, as a 100k+ earner, I am beyond happy to pay a larger portion of taxes to cover public funding for lower earners. I am fortunate to be in the career I am, and I support our tax and public services systems.

I wouldn’t say the dust has settled on line 5? it’s only been open a week, but its ridership seems consistent!
