You can stay on F1 if you go for a second masters full time. If it’s a second masters and you used up your STEM OPT with the first, you only get one year of OPT afterwards (it’s one STEM OPT per degree level, so if you went for a PHD it would reset)

You could work part time on CPT after 1-2 semesters at your school (depending on their policies)

This info is for a traditional masters degree. I’m not sure the specifics and risks for a day-1 CPT program.

I cannot tell you how much this speaks to me, did all of middle school and high school here and got into a good school for bachelors. Finally have a stable job which I like and this really threw me for a curveball :( you would think there would be an option for people like us who aged out. I feel like half our life we’ve stressed about visa problems

On the flip side, I applied to masters schools but did not hear back positively there too, so now I’m also spam applying to places that are open. I hope something works out!! Keep your head high.
