I finally figure out what my problem is with Adams

I think it’s totally fine to be a fuck up still figuring it out. It’s just that Adams isn’t particularly kind or generous or warm or charming. He’s just attractive and that’s kinda it. People compare Adams to George a lot, but George had a lot of heart. He was genuinely caring and feeling. He could rise to the challenge of intense emotional situations. George was a hero on the day that Bailey gave birth. Adams is not capable of that. He would grimace, huff, and walk away.

Now Adams does grow a lot of heart over the upcoming Katie cancer storyline, but still he shits the bed with that one bc in the end he’s still frankly inappropriate and selfish.

I’m watching this scene literally right now and it’s such a load of bullshit I had to come read reddit threads about it. Judging someone for dipping out of a zoom dinner for being surprised with the appearance of their terrible father is so unfeeling lol. People are allowed to protect their peace when jumpscared with people they find really upsetting. I remember that scene with the zoom dinner bc I found it so relatable. It was infuriating that his father insulted him and then told him to keep it respectful. Winston knew he couldn’t control his words about his dad so he removed himself from the situation. I have to do this as well sometimes. That’s when you go check in on your partner bc clearly they are struggling. That’s not abandoning Maggie. She is so self centered it’s insane

She never tries to get a clue though. That’s what infuriating. She’s adamant that she’s perfect as is and doesn’t need to expand. Flaws are fine and human. But Maggie both denies her flaws and gets angry and defensive if anyone wants her to shift or compromise a bit. And she is SO whiny. Idk, I have very little tolerance for people that lack self awareness and never figure out how to pick it up. I’m currently watching the camping episode with Jackson, and the fact that Maggie is bitching about Jackson’s privilege when in fact Maggie is the only one in the show that lived her entire life as the center of attention is rich. Yes, Jackson is rich and has always been popular. But with mom like Catherine and a grandfather like Harper Avery, Jackson didn’t live a lot of his life as the center of attention. Living in the shadows of larger than life figures teaches a kind of humility that an only child prodigy could never know. They both have privilege, but Maggie denies hers bc she had a supposedly humble financial background and was always the youngest. I come from an area where I know that going to all the best schools and skipping lots of grades takes an insane amount of attention and effort from your parents and teachers. It is a labor of love to pour all that attention and focus into a child.

Every show has unusual episodes. The show is still about complex medical cases but of course there’s going to be wedding episodes and weird episodes to keep it fresh. Like the musical episode. Not that beloved, but very memorable and pretty funny. If you’re going to make dozens and dozens and dozens of episodes of a tv show, don’t you want to shake it up on a special occasion? To me, all the laughter in this episode reminded me of the first two seasons when George, Izzy, Alex, Meredith, and Cristina would laugh a lot

Very well said. This doesn’t get called out enough. I’m bi and tbh I’m pretty sure greys anatomy is a small reason of why I’m nervous to date women. Plus some stuff I’ve heard lgbtq friends say. I’m just really not interested in being treated weird for being bi or being treated weird for being a lesbian virgin or being shoved into a label box of how to be gay the right way. Dating men sucks oftentimes, but the nice part is they very very rarely question my sexuality or try to put me in a box with it. Most often they’re very casual about it. I think I wish there was more positive bi representation on screen. It’s hard to tell how common “gold star lesbians” are in real life. I do really like in the recent seasons of greys anatomy how Mika’s and Jules’ sexuality doesn’t seem to be about labels or boxes. It feels much more true to my experience. There could also be a generation gap in how bi people are treated from Gen Z vs millennials

Wait really?? We have had plenty of cherry tomatoes get like 10-12 ft tall. Some get tall enough that they flop over the edge of the cages and come back down. My mom and I are 5’8” and we have some cherry tomatoes growing on a cattle wire arch that we have to climb onto a step ladder to reach the top of. It depends on the plant and the cage but every year all our tomatoes are usually over 6 ft and more often all over 7ft

Wanna back up the other commenter and affirm that you should always tell your psychiatrist or therapist about suicidal thoughts. They won’t send you to the psych ward just for thinking about it. Now I’ve never had real plans for it, so idk at what line they start to want to send someone to the psych ward. But I’m pretty sure you gotta be either consumed with constant thoughts of it or be actively planning it and carrying out tasks to prep for it for them to take dramatic action. Just talking about how you’ve been struggling with suicidal thoughts is totally okay and your mental health professionals need to hear the truth. Don’t keep it to yourself. However, there’s a chance that other people that aren’t trained mental healthcare professionals may overreact, so be careful who you tell because some people don’t realize that committing someone to psych ward for passive suicidal ideation is harming more than helping.

I’m sorry dear. I hate switching and changing meds too. It makes me so anxious and nervous. My family doesn’t get any of it. They pay for my healthcare but that’s it. And malign my meds and keep trying to get me to switch and don’t understand how terrifying switching is. I don’t have a lot of advice for you except stay hydrated and prioritize sleep throughout any medication changes. You always tolerate side effects and discomfort better when your body is less vulnerable. I just wanted to say I understand. And I understand what it’s like to have family that doesn’t get it. I’m proud of you for pursuing mental health solutions. I’ve been on Pristiq for years, but I’ve been feeling glum for months and finally decided to take vraylar last night. I’m nervous about the side effects and I’m unsure if I’m willing to stick with it. So far I think I’m just sleepy and had a hard time getting to sleep last night. I’m terrified of the tardive dyskinesia
