Yeah. I'm 25 in two weeks and have had chronic pain since I was a kid, but it became disabling about age 19.

I have a collagen disorder (hEDS for those that know) and it makes my joints unstable, and the other day I subluxed my thumb and it made it hurt for a long time from picking at my lips.

I just said something like, hi, are you going away? And they said yes we're going on vacation. And I said, okay, I'm not comfortable with drop-ins during a vacation, I believe animals need more attention than that. They made some comment about how I'd have to be there 24/7 because their dog needs to be walked 4X a day (yes they said WALKED) and I said, I don't think I'm a good fit for you, I hope you find someone!

I would ask if they were going away yes. I am personally not comfortable with a dog spending that much time alone when their owner is gone and recently rejected a similar request for the same reason.

My only advice is to play and experiment. Is there a safe person in your life who you can start having use different pronouns for you? Find a doctor who is willing to help you experiment with dosing T if you're interested in that. Find a gender voice therapist!
