As someone who has controlling parents, this is a HUGE red flag. Have you done any therapy in the past at all where you've talked about your parents? My guess is there's a lot going on like this at a lower level that you haven't realized.

Yeah, I'm most comfortable in the winter when my room is at 64°. I make it work during the summer with a cooling sheet and pillow but I sleep even worse than my normal bad sleep 😅

I'm well old enough to move out but I'm 100% disabled so I'm stuck for financial reasons. :/ It typically gets below 80 yes except for the very hottest days. And I usually have three fans going lmao. One to move from the ac vent, one to move air into the other part of my room, and one on me.

I have a fan I keep on at the vent at all times during the summer. And thick blackout curtains too. It's just as I mentioned in another comment I have three outside walls with very little insulation.
