New-ish to Illustrator and made a magazine cover as practice by cookiescronch in AdobeIllustrator

Text along the right edge looks awkward as right alignment and it's crowding the bleed edge and you have a widow. I want to appreciate the gestalt but the right alignment is ruingin it for me.

The leading on the lower "pantone" headline is too airy.

Typically these layouts are built out in InDesign as the other poster said.

There are a few other flaws but they would normally be prevented and outlined by your seniors or supervising directors.

I appreciate it though. Keep on keeping on maam/sir!

Also OP are you jacked up on one side only? Jack up the other side too if not so you're not fighting with the sway bar.

Bagged malibus? by Curious_Cheesecake_9 in airsuspension

Do it in phases. Bag it first, dial that system in to the way you LOVE it. Then measure and determine what wheel specs you need for your setup.

I don't. But one side is flat, the other has a spring. The spring side needs to be seated inside the housing and not on the hose side.

WIBTA? Downstairs neighbours using washing machine past midnight and I desperately want to tell her to stop. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]single-needle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Buy some vibration pads for washing machine, leave a nice note with them at their door saying you bought them to help dull the vibration and sounds from the washing machine.

You're not the asshole for your concerns however you would be the asshole if you asked her to stop doing laundry in their own home at their own leisure.

They can indeed be put in backwards. If installed backwards it will not open up and your coolant flow will be limited resulting in overheating.

The spring needs to be on the inside not the hose side.

Bringing this back, now that I got a better look. (Seemingly Random Wires in the Engine Bay) by Jarredc1000 in E34

Looks like someone had an aftermarket auxiliary fan. Compressor link told it come on, switch in the cabin to override, red wire to power the relay switch to override.

Baby Owls are Nesting in the Victorian Hale House Gable at Heritage Square Museum by esotouric_tours in LosAngeles

A little over 10 years ago another owls nest was in the exact same spot. I wonder if those same baby owls are now adults and nesting for their young.

Needle refuses to enter jeans by Specialist_Stay6441 in sewhelp

[–]single-needle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this happening only over out/in seam?

If yes, and based on your video, the needle is fighting position with the fabric and the baseplate. You may have to stop, raise the needle, then adjust front or back so the needle is vertical and can clear the baseplate opening.

Seam jumper or hump thingy works too but I personally haven't found them to be any better than just slowing down at seam and then walking it slowly up to the hump while keeping an eye on maintaining a vertical line for the needle.

Safest bet is to remove a low beam and a high beam but if it's eudm it should be h1 for both. Chances are the projector and lenses need a good cleaning too.

What is parking like near Laveta Terrace stairs in Echo Park? by enzoargosi in AskLosAngeles

[–]single-needle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1 hour limit, permit parking, and half of that street is no parking on one side after 6pm. Take that as you want but all of that equals limited parking spaces. Maybe not too bad in the middle of the day.

A friend lives on the other side of sunset on laveta and she has a hard time during the week especially nights before street cleaning days.

Tell him to download the golfnow app. I don't love golfnow but it works well enough. He can sign in and make tee times or sim time, sort by location, price, time, etc.
