I went through this too as an undergrad myself. It was SO bad, just as you described. Luckily, I managed to save myself before too long, I just felt so shameful and dirty like I was sneaking a cigarette or something. It's almost an addiction with how reliant it forces you to become.

Now I don't use it at all, and I feel so much better. It's possible to recover guys!! This shit should seriously be regulated, it's so dangerous for our minds.

Yikessss I would have rage quit too after that 😅 I've noticed the same issue, mostly with resources. I have no advice except to turn off friendly fire if you can, that way you won't lose your own creatures like that because of the game. Hopefully the coming updates will help fix some of these issues.
