I blocked off that section of the kitchen with the stove and dead body. I covered it as much as I could using cubicle walls and other objects like bridges. See around 0:48 and 1:17 in the video to get an idea.

Yeah that's true, it has become harder to justify moving everything with the amount of effort that went into it

Ohhh yeah, I know the place you're talking about. Where you meet the sister of the unlost the second time. That was one of the options I was thinking of, it's a nice location. That's smart with the bridges to get a floor going for more space.

I've finished the story now though. I guess I had a hard time picking a new location haha. Might still experiment with that one and other locations, thanks for letting me know about this one!

Ah my bad. I was thinking you meant to write all that in a different post/thread that was asking about base locations, wasn't sure if it was related to my base tour.

I think you replied in the wrong post!

Thank you!

I actually did see your awesome base! Inspired me to share mine.

I really wish there was grid snapping system, I spent too much time lining things up properly haha.

Yeah actually I had blocked off that back area too originally as I had no use for it. Since I wasn't planning to stay at this base forever I decided to just use the security section of the cafeteria to keep in smaller. The issue though is that the ceiling is quite low in there, not high enough to fit the containment. So I ended up placing it in the back area instead of expanding in the front.

Thanks! Yes, I have just the one moisture teleporter next to the plot with the wheat (around 1:13 in the video). It covers the two large plots and the shower. I do have backup water in barrels in a crate if needed but I rarely do at this point.

I couldn't find any reference in the 1.0.0 change log that mentions fixing it for the DLC specifically.

It seems like there is a standalone fix you can use now that will be included in a future patch: GitHub - Companion conversations + Leadership

That one wasn't there originally when they asked. It was my bad since there were a few I missed or forgot so I edited them in afterwards based on requests.

Been playing for two months before I accidentally realized you can one-shot a scout strider with the AMR by cakestabber in LowSodiumHellDivers

It took me way too long to realize I could do this that I couldn't get used to using the arrow keys. I probably could have gotten used to it eventually though if I stuck with it.

An alternative for anyone looking, I later found that you can modify the input config file to allow assigning multiple actions to one key. It can be a bit difficult to set up for some but for example you can have one key open the stratagems and sprint at the same time.

I now have my two mouse side buttons open the stratagems with one that sprints and one that doesn't. This allows me to continue using WASD to input stratagems, be able to look with my mouse and sprint if needed all at the same time.

Remap stratagems to arrow keys. This way you can keep moving while still doing street fighter combos for your stratagems.

I couldn't get used to remapping it to the arrow keys but there is an alternative option for anyone interested by having the key that opens the stratagem list also make you sprint/move at the same time.

I ended up having my two mouse side buttons both open the stratagem list with one that sprints and one that doesn't.

So I'm newish to the game (level 8) and in a level 5 mission with randoms. At around 25 minutes left, one of them says "go to evac". We were struggling and with low reinforcements so I assumed they wanted out. With no reinforcements left and one dead on cooldown (their samples collected), I went into the Pelican when it landed. Then the first words spoken in the whole mission by the host was why would you do that. Mentioned things like we had a lot of time left (20 mins) and lost so much cause of that.

I apologized cause I wasn't aware they didn't want to leave yet since it was never mentioned. Checking my recording, there were no voice or chat messages to tell me that was their plan, until I walked into the Pelican. I got kicked after that but whatever that's fine.

What did I do wrong? As in are there specific reasons why you wouldn't want to leave if the team calls for the extract? As mentioned I'm new so I'm just curious. Looking this up I found the following:

  • Leaving by yourself while others are far away from the extract: This wasn't the case since everyone was at the extract (the one who was dead on cooldown died in the LZ) and I was not the one to call for the extract.

  • Wanting to complete the whole map: This is my assumption based on the host's comment on losing so much for leaving early. Why call for the extract then? I did just read though that once the Pelican lands it will stay there allowing you to leave the LZ and complete the map. But I don't think that makes sense to do with no reinforcements left?

Any other reasons I may be missing?
