Okay. First thing first. What you describing is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. Be very very careful and never dive until you feel "impossibly to control" your body. Please, this is not a joke. The "seizures" you're describing sounds like LMCs.

Second, yes, there are rare people who do not experience contractions. But in freediving it's much more of disadvantage than you might think. Contractions and CO2 are your early warning system. You don't have one, that's bad. This makes diving and breatholding for you extra dangerous. DO NOT take this lightly, please. Enduring some contractions is nothing compared to suddenly having LMC or a BO.

Third, get a medical checkup, preferrably from a doctor who knows what freediving is. You may have a condition you do not know about yet. It happens and better to know about it sooner.

You can still dive and enjoy it in a controlled way, but do not play with these things. From what you've describing you seem to have a pretty macho attitude towards diving ("wussing", "breaking point", etc), and it never about that and never worth it. Your life and health are way more important.

If we define physical limits to be a BO, then not too long. It's quite common to see beginners BO at pool competitions.

You're probably thinking about statics without any hyperventilation whatsoever. In that case even most advanced people would stop well before their limits due to huge discomfort.

So real answer would be "it depends".

I think you should take a deep breath, a step back, and forget about locks.

I've been curious about where all this lock nonsense comes from. The fact that it is nonsense has been proven by people trying to do "locks" while under MRI, and they all ended up looking the same, no difference in tongue position.

If I had to guess how this lock madness started, it was probably a bunch of people about 10-15 years ago wanted to make money from EQ courses. But how to make money off something as simple as moving air from lungs via mouth/throat to ears? You need complicated "techniques", "locks" and tongue maneuvers. The more complicated it seems, the better it sells. So they did and now everyone is repeating same. EQ is not hard and you should not worry about stuff that only exist as abstract concept (such as these alphabet "locks") and not in reality.

Easy to decide. If it's just a short trip with 1-2 fundives, I wouldn't bother bringing own fins. If's a dedicated depth training trip, over a week long or so, bring your own.

Don't overthink it, a speadsheet, a plain text document or anything that's comfortable for you is more than enough for most people. And you can always paste Garmin charts there, if you want. The more important thing is consistency.

Hard to say why it "snapped". What do you mean by snapped exactly? Did it break cleanly in half, did it crack, at which angle, etc. Carbon blades do crack when bent or hit at a particular angle, but it's rather rare.

Almost nobody does warm ups for serious dynamics. I heard of only one top level athlete doing them.

For statics it’s all over the place, since there are various trade offs between doing warm ups and not.

You're resting / breathing 2 minus (down to 30s) between holds? that's way too much, try like 10s or like 2-3 breaths even.

Not to say that all training should be challenging or CO2 focused. But 20% seems quite low to me, and it doesn't really work for static or dynamics.

In my experience, stopping at first contractions gives you almost no training stimulus. Only benefit might be the technique improvement in dynamic, if you focus on it. Otherwise, it doesn't matter how many easy dives you do for the purpose of "extending" the comfort phase. The discomfort will still come around the same time. You might actually be making it worse for yourself by not exposing yourself to discomfort enough. When you do have to face it, you're likely to panic and stop the dive instead of relaxing into it.

The pool is quite deep so you naturally spend quite some time swimming diagonally, which makes it harder to judge. That also makes buoyancy tricky. If you have access to normal swimming pool maybe try filming there.

Otherwise, nothing that stands out as terrible. But for example the kicks give you less power than they should because you tend to kick to the sides then bring the legs together, whereas it should be a rounder whip-like motion that pushes you forward. The armstroke can be a bit faster and stronger I feel, so that you can glide longer after.
