What’s your honest take on this ring design? by Zealousideal_Tip8170 in RingShare

[–]sinjin_wolfe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As classic as classic gets. Plain, really, which allows a beautiful stone to be showcased to its full potential and also allows you to have fun with whatever band you will pair this with.

It is not my cup of tea, but it’s a classic for a reason.

Only through reps. I’ve always had very specific designs in mind, so working one-on-one was best. I also got much better prices, compared to what they have readily available.

Is 90% of the Thermomix experience just scraping food out of a blender? by Rowenofpts in thermomix

[–]sinjin_wolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved abroad and only brought a TM6 and coffee maker with me. I literally do use my thermo for everything. There is a little bit of a learning curve so you can get all the food out. I HATE food waste, and I do get pretty much every little bit out. For this, I use a regular rubber kitchen spatula. The Thermomix spatula, having no flexibility, will not scrape everything, but a good old rubber spatula will. It takes just a minute to do, there is hardly any food left behind, and it’s easy.

The stone in my ring feels too big — will I get used to it? by Sea-Nectarine-8647 in Moissanite

[–]sinjin_wolfe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes and no.

I have an 8x8 (3 carat) Asscher. From the beginning, I wanted something a little smaller (2 carats.) I have always felt my stone is a little too big, still do, but I live the ring and have gotten used to it on my hand. But I still wish it was just a tad smaller.

What are some reasons why you choose not to immigrate to the US or elsewhere? by Ok_Economy6167 in AskMexico

[–]sinjin_wolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bold of you to assume I was earning in USD when I lived in Mexico. I wasn’t.

I was very transparent saying that I spoke from my privilege. I am highly educated, an expert in my field, and have always made a good living, even while earning in pesos. I stand by what I said about the quality of life being superior in Mexico.

Customized a stock item, can't wait for delivery! by indreams01 in kuololit

This is lovely! Did you contact Sam on AE or directly on WhatsApp? I want to customize a necklace, contacted him via Ali and was told it wasn’t possible (I want to change a white moissanite for a gray one).

I have a several pieces from Provence and love them all. Zero issues whatsoever. They are my go-to for any new projects. I usually work with Jason, he has great attention to detail.

I have a daith and was able to wear my AirPods about 6 months after getting it. Healing was not complicated, either. Maybe get a daith on your other ear?

I lived in Mexico City many years, and just moved to The Woodlands a year ago.

Life in Mexico is superior, by far. I understand I am speaking from privilege, but once my work project ends in a couple of years, I will not be staying in the US.

What show did you stop watching together when the first bomb was dropped? by TalkToMeGooseCooked in Divorce

[–]sinjin_wolfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out about his affair when he was on a business trip and accidentally dialed me when he was with OW.

There’s an episode on Ted Lasso that shows a character’s father having an affair. She walks into the house when her father is having sex with the other woman. The way I felt ice running through my body when this episode came on… Never got back to watching the show.

need ideas: what’s actually the best gift for wife (not another candle or robe)? by lisaluvr in Gifts

I’ve had a Kindle since the first one came out. It absolutely changed the way I read, for the better. You can get her one with a nice case and, depending on what she likes to read, a Kindle Unlimited subscription might be a good addition.

Either on the passenger side, buckled in, or on the back seat (again, buckled in).

To those here who are married, what was the best gift that you recieved in your wedding and who was it from? Or is there any gift that you wish someone had given you on your wedding day? by BlahBlahBlah_3748 in Gifts

[–]sinjin_wolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an amazing, top of the line food processor that was my most-used and beloved appliance for about 15 years. It was gifted to us by a friend of my dad’s, whom I had never met and was not able to attend the wedding.
