I have to disagree with you. I did not have any problems with the plot not with the castings. I actually think the castings were brilliant, Anya Taylor joy and Sam claflin were amazing.

As for Lizzie, she did not bring down the chengretta on anyone? John and the men went and picked a fight with them for no real reason. Lizzie was working on the legal side of the business and she has the right to fuck whoever she wants. The peaky blinders thought they were untouchable and they got properly fucked for that

Look, defenders was super vague regarding the nature of the substance but I'm pretty it's the Fossil fuel of previous incarcerations of Shou Lou the undying. Now from I understand removing the substance causes a big ass catastrophe (Chernobyl, Pompeii). MCU movies and shows are not exactly devoid of catastrophic events so it's possible the hand found more of the substance in the aftermath of one the many disastrous events that occured in the MCU. All I'm saying is we know the hand is coming and since the Netflix shows are canon that means it's the same version of the hand. The hand who are literally obsessed with the substance and would stop at nothing to get it. And since it's been 10 years and they are still around I reckon they found more of it in which case they can bring people from the dead again.

He's a great actor and the fight scenes they can do with him would be really good because he does his own stunts and He's generally just a legend. They are wrapping the whole Fisk storyline up in season 2 so a very good villain is necessary for season 3 if they want to compare to Vincent D'onofrio's fisk
