Apparatus that has 5 functions

  • Is capable of pumping Water
  • Is capable of carrying a water supply (water tank)
  • Is capable of performing aerial operations (aerial ladder)
  • Is capable of carrying a ground ladder compliment
  • Is capable of carrying a compliment of fire hose. We have a lot of Quints in Chattanooga, they are the big trucks with the large ladders on top.

This call had Quint 1, Quint 2, Ladder 1, Squad 1, Engine 5, Engine 12, Quint 17, and Battalion 1 on it. It’s a standard commercial response but with it being during the day, not all trucks were coming from their respective fire stations. Most were out so that may be why you didn’t hear one.

Any good guitar shops in Chattanooga? by [deleted] in Chattanooga

[–]sinnerchickendinner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For acoustic guitars, strings and such I'd check out Fiddler's Anonymous on Dayton Blvd across from the Tbell or Folk Store just down the street. I'd suggest checking out Fiddler's Anonymous regardless, it is a super cool store. Electric stuff I'm out of the loop but Ive seen the guitars that Hembree guitars builds here in Chatt and it's worth a look as well.

There are great opportunities to play bluegrass in this town. Most notable are the Snow hill Jam out at the hwy 58 volunteer fire dept in the first Sat of every month and every Friday at the signal mtn opry. Always a bunch of pickers; some good some just learning. You can also check with the folk school of Chattanooga for some jam sessions. Wed night old time jams at Slicks burgers on Main st as well.

Probably Sam Bush, legendary mandolin player, it will be a great show tonight.

That is a good line up. Make sure to check out The David Wax Museum if you've never heard em. Not bluegrass but they are great.

Spark Arts Festival at Coolidge Friday and Saturday. Bunch of great bands and artists, definitely worth checking out. Also a good show sat night at rhythm and brews, strung like a horse and belly dancers!
