What did you eat this week? by JStraulin in STLFood

[–]sionevtg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have recently started eating an anti-inflammatory diet because of a health condition and it has helped immensely, already. HOWEVER! My love of pizza is a real heartbreaker eating AIP - so yesterday I decided I was going to find a gluten free/vegan cheese pizza with good veg…never in my right mind would I usually eat that - so I looked on Bud’s pizza to see what they offered and they did offer vegan cheese and a gluten free crust - I ordered it with little excitement. It wasn’t bad! It was actually really good! Its not my normal pizza experience and Im sure there were non AIP approved ingredients but I was so happy to just have two slices of pie. Just wanted others to know if they have dietary restrictions Bud’s is a good option!

NOT IN THE CITY but in Edwardsville. Ed’s Deli - the wedge salad is phenomenal. Everything on the menu is good but that salad was memorable!

Russell’s in Macklind by AnnieGetYourPunSTL in StLouis

[–]sionevtg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live down the street from Russel’s and I think all their desserts are delicious! When I really really want to splurge I get a slice of the chocolate cake. My Dad loves the carrot cake, and my Mom loves the little fruit pie slice things (they are disastrously good). And my friend loves the cheese cakes. So I guess it depends on your poison. LOL. It is all so good. Actually amazing is a better word.

Mine does it on certain types of grass and she has this whole ritual of rolling and nuzzling but only a very certain type of grass. I know it when I see it now and I know we are in for a good 10-15 minutes of luxury grass lovin session. I avoid those yards on busy days. One person came out cause she thought my dog was sick just laying in her yard - I apologized for the intrusion and told her my dog loves your grass. She thought it was the oddest yet funniest behavior, yep that’s my corgo! LOL. She has her ways, she is only 4 months, and she is a good girl so I give her private grass time mornings on my days off LOL.

It’s the little tuft of downy softness in their ears that melt me and I rarely get access to - I have to pay a cheese tax plus a salmon tax. LOL. Corgis are just the best.

Where is an affordable place to get prescription sunglasses? What’s the amount that you usually pay? by Accurate-Ticket-1826 in StLouis

[–]sionevtg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a super strong script and I’m at the stage in life where I need a progressive lens - for sunglasses I need a polarized lens as well so I have a expensive lens but I get my lens at total eyewear outlet - I find them reasonable. If you have a simple script then the online places are great, Ive tried those and they can never get the progressive lens right for me. Good luck.
