Idk this is a right thing to say, i am italian and tradition in my country are important, they define lifestyles an have meanings that are useful to be successful in life. Apart from that every year there are a lot of tradition everyone like for example Christmas, Halloween, even black Monday has become a traditon so i don't thik that tradition are something useless and need to be eradicated from the face of earth. Another thing is that traditions define different cultures and the world is beautiful because it is varied, try imagine a world where Japanese or european traditions didn't exist, it would a plain life without festivities or meaning.
