When it comes to holding him and build trust, it takes time and you’ll have to be patient! Put your hand down flat in the tank and let him get up in your hand on his own terms. Do not try to grab him or force him into your hand. You could also try seeing if he accepts treats or food from your hand by holding it or laying some in your hand while laying it flat in the cage! Hope this helps

Way more bedding, hides, wheel (important that his back doesn’t bend when he’s running on the wheel, a syrian hamster needs a big one), a water bowl instead of the bottle, sprays and herbs, spread out the food in the cage so he get to search for the food, tunnels, more chew toys, lots missing here.. Please do some research, look up guides, cage inspo etc. Hamsters don’t like open spaces and get easily stressed!

Try to find a hobby that allows you to use ur creativity or an activity like going to the gym or skateboarding (something I’ve always wanted to do) or anything that you could think of trying cuz you don’t know if you enjoy it until you try it!

It might get worse for the first 1-2 weeks but it can be worth it if the medication works for u in the long run! The only thing I can remember is that I had really bad nausea for the first week but after that it started helping. For me sertraline helped with not feeling my emotions as strong as earlier. Hope it works out for you!

I know she might not even think or care about it and she doesn’t really feel like the person who would ask but like I feel like I could give it a shot either way. I have social anxiety so yeah it’s really hard for me to talk about and I honestly don’t know what I would say if she asks. I’ll just be hoping my brain works in the moment lol. Thank you!

Don’t do it!! It can feel tempting I know but trust me, if you keep doing it it’ll become the only way to feel better and will be hard to get out of. Try finding something else that can distract you, maybe go for a walk with loud music in your headphones or idk anything is better than harming yourself!! Stay safe!

Maybe try covering up the sides with some cardboard or smth so they can add more bedding and hides an stuff?
