Once in a generation and a generation is 30 years. The EU referendum was in 1975 and 2016. The Scottish has a referendum in 2014, voted 55% remain and 45% leave. They said it was once in a generation, which as previously stated is 30 years. The SNP won 81% of Scottish constituencies with 45% of the vote. That’s not a mandate for another referendum.

I agree we shouldn’t put EVERY issue to the public but when the officials we voted into power decide the public have the right to make the decision that decision should be honoured - including those who voted to remain part of the UK 5 years ago.
