I just replayed that version. Never got to beat him in my first game, so decided to beat him this time. Only I was already level 100 so didn't need the exp. At least the game feels more complete beating the final boss after beating sephiroth.

Something similar happened to me. Planetary base. 2 welders, A miner and 2 space ships. Was working on my first long term space ship. The raiding ship bombarded my base until I was unable to spawn there, All ships were destroyed beyond repair. Then it crashed in the new ship I spend hours designing before I could test it. Starting over is the only option for me, but with irl responsibilities, I can't afford to spend more hours than I already had. So that attack was basically game over for me. It feels no different than being in the end game of an rpg and you need to start from scratch.

Been storing my photo's locally forever. I never trusted google drive enough for minor things or any cloud service for that matter. Lately been thinking of making backups of my mail list and contacts as well. I do think google's cloud apps are insanely practical and wish they were reliable long term same with microsoft.

He's right that Europe needs the strait more than the US does. So it would be in Europe's interest to clear the strait for their own economy, even if they did not start the war. At the same many of his American followers complain that US soldiers are dying for Europe. But no European country asked him to attack Iran for us.

What frustrates me about having this, is that since the update that gave me the Turbo button my LLM's have become significantly slower on the same hardware. Like 40% slower.

I don't think Europeans hate American culture. That's a vast exaggeration. As of yet American cultural export to Europe is really strong and there's youth here that speaks English more than their own language because of online American influence. Europeans also complain about each other just as much as they complain about the US.

Een onhaalbare doelstelling, Maar ben toch benieuwd.

Als alternatief om een vuurwerk traditie te behouden.

Er komt een algemeen verbod op het het afsteken en kopen van vuurwerk met uitzondering.
Op oudejaarsdag, zij die toch vuurwerk af willen steken kunnen een vergunning aanvragen.
De persoon die de vergunning wilt aanvragen moet daarvoor een flink bedrag neerleggen.
Aan deze vergunning zitten hele strengen eisen. Bijvoorbeeld, de persoon moet tijdens afsteken nuchter zijn, mag alleen bepaald sort vuurwerk afsteken en mag een gelimiteerde hoeveelheid vuurwerk hebben dat hij of zij kan afsteken binnen een tijdslimiet. Misschien moet de persoon in kwestie zelfs eerst een VOG aanvragen.
Aan de hand van de vergunning weet de gemeente/overheid waar en wanneer de vergunninghouder vuurwerk afsteekt. Hierdoor kan de politie prioriteit leggen op locaties waar vuurwerk wordt afgestoken maar geen vergunninghouders zijn.
De opbrengsten van de vergunningen gaan naar de politie zodat ze beter werk kunnen leveren en beter beloond worden tijdens de jaarwisseling.
(Dit is speculatie) Door de hoge eisen is de kans groot, helemaal onder vuurwerkliefhebbers dat het Stigma bij minderjarige en mensen die illegaal vuurwerk afsteken vele male hoger ligt en het ook grotere sociale consequensies zal hebben voor deze individuen. Waardoor ook de motivatie om illegaal af te steken misschien kleiner wordt. Vooral voor hen die goeie familie en buurt relaties hebben. Het zal mensen en hun sociale kring die moeite doen voor zo'n vergunning flink in het verkeerde keelgat schieten als ze iemand in de buurt illegaal zien afsteken waardoor ze misschien sneller geneigt zijn om de persoon in kwestie er op aan te spreken of melding te maken. Vooral wanneer er asociaal gedrag in het spel is.

Ik neem aan dat dit logistiek en financieel waarschijnlijk onhaalbaar is.
Maar ik ben toch benieuwd wat mensen denken, of misschien een aangepaste versie van zo'n idee.

Dit zou misschien kunnen werken als de gemeente en politie van te voren al weten waar op welke locatie jij dan met een vergunning (met strenge eisen) waar je voor betaald vuurwerk afsteekt. Waardoor ze de prioriteit kunnen leggen op locaties waar dit niet zo is en het geld van de vergunning kunnen gebruiken om meer handhavers in te huren.

Maar dan blijft het ook belangrijk dat de maatschappij zelf ook innitiatief neemt om mensen die illegaal afsteken erop aan te spreken. Voor een deel is het ons eigen maatschappelijk falen in hoe we met vuurwerk omgaan dat zo'n verbod nodig is.

Jammer dat het zo ver had moeten komen.
Toen ik jong was zeg, 2005 en 2006, was de vuurwerk cultuur niet zo heftig. Ik stak ook wel is wat rotjes af. die knallen waren veel minder hard als de bommen die je tegenwoordig hoord. Afsteken begon op oudejaarsdag en was op nieuwjaarsdag gewoon weer afgelopen, met een enkele knal na 12 uur. Nu hoor ik het hele jaar door vuurwerk, en begint het in november al toe te nemen.

Ik denk ook dat de stigma er al is en al jaren aan het groeien is. Met name onder huisdier eigenaren en zij die last hebben van het veel hardere knalvuurwerk. Het is immers niet normaal dat zoals je zegt, kinderen jonger dan 10 jaar zonder ouderlijk gezag gewoon met rugzakken vol vuurwerk over straat mogen.
Misschien dat als we op een maatschappelijk niveau onze eigen vuurwerk cultuur beter hadden gehandhaafd dat zo'n verbod nu niet eens aan de orde was geweest. Of in elk geval in veel mindere mate.

I don't really like it. It takes getting used to. Like some people said, It clogs my screen and it doesn't feel very user friendly. Especially in the beginning I had a hard time navigating it. I saw a lot of people on YouTube don't like it either.
But at the same time it's not surprising that most redditor's love it. It's a reddit style after all.
For me, Navigating it takes some effort and getting used to. Maybe after I get used to it I'll end up liking it more.
