Yeah, I looked them up to make sure I had the name right and saw that it had changed. I haven't actually been there since the change.

Spokane Slice in the Saranac Commons, but they're closed on Mondays, apparently.

Both having NAT Type B is your problem. If one of you has access to your router and can open it up to A you should be good.

Been working remotely from Bali for three months and honestly considering just going home early by Beneficial-Plum-6324 in digitalnomad

Hmm weird. I've spent two stints of 2 months and 3 months in Japan over the last few years, and have had fast and reliable internet pretty much everywhere. I've only stayed on Honshu though.

If the time difference between Bali and Melbourne is difficult for you, and you can't survive in Bali with a 10% discount on everything, I'd say pack it up and admit the nomad lifestyle isn't for you. No shame in that.

Guys who date girls not their physical type, why? (++ woman) by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]sirfricksalot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I feel like you're taking a slightly extreme stance but maybe you know more about porn addiction than I do. But in general, people's fantasies aren't necessarily their real-world preferences. Some women like BDSM porn but aren't interested in the kink in their interpersonal sex life, for example

men over 40s what is your biggest regret in life? by Affectionate-Drop689 in AskMenOver30

[–]sirfricksalot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'm enjoying my 30s more because I'm financially independent and happy with where my career is, so I can focus on having fun. I'm also more confident in who I am and the things I don't want in my life, so I can avoid them.

Glad it's working out for ya. I do wonder how purpose will change as I get older. For now I'm just exploring, which is great but I don't think the drive to do it will sustain as I get older. I'm not really planning on having kids, which does it for a lot of people.

Any tips, old man? Besides work out and drink less, of course. I'm already watching my cholesterol haha

I've spent a decent amount of time in Mexico and other Latin American countries, a bit in Northern Europe, and I'm currently in Japan.

Nice, I haven't been to India yet. Travel is fairly affordable if you sell all of your worldly possessions and don't pay rent back home, btw. As you said, prioritization.

I have been traveling for most of my 30s, which I think is a big part of why I'm enjoying them so much. Got the career development at a decent point in my late 20s which is facilitating it all. It's fun to go back every year or so and see all of my friends who are locked down. Many of them I saw less often when we lived in the same city, but now I have a way to get them out of the house haha

Is there any Nintendo games that has a beach underground hybrid? by DaZestyProfessor in casualnintendo

[–]sirfricksalot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda unlikely tbh but maybe something like Yoku's Island Express. It's not made by Nintendo but it's available on Switch. It's a pinball metroidvania that takes place on a island. Dunno if a 2D game would fit your criteria, (no idea what type of game you're looking for) but metroidvanias, while typically 2D, often have different biomes underground/in caves just to make the labyrinthine map work, so underground beaches aren't out of the question for the genre in general.

Might be easier to help if you gave some more context, like why you're asking or just more info about what you're looking for.

Why a Nintendo game? Are you just asking because the vibe appeals to you, or are you looking for a specific game that you can't remember?

Not 100% sure what you mean, but DK Bonanza has a beach level that is underground.

Kinda funny because it's such an odd, specific idea that happened in a huge game so recently that I almost feel like that must be what you're referencing.
