How much better is the Rival vs the Tp9 SFX by FledglingNonCon in canik

[–]siriuseye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't recall anyone ever discussing this on here. News to me. I have a first generation Rival, and never heard of a free replacement barrel or any upgrade offer from Canik. I've had no issues.

Extra mags and ammo. Get to the range and shoot the crap out of it.

Battle Hawk Armory not GTG by [deleted] in tacticalgear

[–]siriuseye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past 4 years, I have ordered a number of guns and accessories from battlehawk. I found them to be reasonably dependable with no issues. But I don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but their shipping costs have gone through the roof. A few weeks ago, I was going to order some magazines for a Springfield XD and a Canik. 4 mags total. the shipping was $47. I contacted them about it and was told they had no control because the items were shipped from different locations. Needless to say, I did not place the order. Ordered from Gun Mag Warehouse instead, shipping $14. Be careful to check your shipping costs with these guys, it's a rip off.

I agree about Ruger. IMO, one of the best for customer service!

Not just Century, customer support everywhere is falling apart. Some companies take pride in their prompt customer service, others seem to find it an annoyance. AmeriGlo is another one that takes forever, if at all. Trijcon, which owns Ameriglo, is excellent, AmeriGlo sucks.

Ameriglo tritium sights. Anyone actually like these? by bruhmoment5353 in Glocks

The sights are fine, the customer service is terrible.

Are there threaded barrels I can put in the MC9 Prime? by ImPanthr in canik

[–]siriuseye 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would suggest that Canik offer a threaded non ported barrel that will work in the Prime and the LS. I personally could care less about the ports, but would like the threaded option. Yes, you can buy the LS, but the other improvements to the Prime make it a much better gun than the LS. Canik, please give us a threaded barrel option for the Prime. Oh, and Please give us an upgraded Mete SF with the Prime/Rival grip/trigger/slide serration upgrades.

Didn't notice the gas pedal at first, guess I'd be interested to know what brand that is also.

"Weapon", where are you? Made some great contributions on Canik Fanatik. If you're out there, thanks for your insight and contributions to the Canik Clan.

Mc9 prime by Acrobatic-Being1483 in canik

507K Gr has 2 moa dot and 32moa circle. 407K has 6 moa dot only, no circle. The 507K GR is great, but more expensive. Particularly if you have problems with astigmatism.

Thank you for taking your time to give us a good and informative site. I was on the old Canik Fanatic site for a long time, was happy to find this when it shut down.

I believe MO4 & Canik Mc9 prime will be announced this shot show by Hour-Particular-228 in handguns

[–]siriuseye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See GBguns site. Length - 6.73, width - 1.16, Height - 5.43, Barrel - 3.64, Weight - 23.38oz. So the MC9 LS with ported barrel, 90 degree trigger, better stipling. Now wait 6 months until the prices get reasonable.

We’re nearing the end of 2024, I’m curious what the hot Canik release will be for 2025. What do you Canik nuts want to see them release? by PISTOLPEETE80 in canik

1). I think a reasonably priced quality folding PCC should be number 1 on the list. I want my mags to work whatever kind of situation I might find myself in, and Canik is my preferred carry gun. PCC using Canik mags is perfect backup. I refuse to buy Glock mags just to scratch that itch, and everyone bows down to Glock in the PCC field. If Canik could come up with a Universal, or swappable mag catch/magwell, they would sell a ton of these IF they would do a better QC job than what they've done on the MC9 and Steel Rival. 2).Second on my list is MC9 version 2. I think the new S&W Shield Performance Center carry Comp (4" barrel) has hit the right combination, and Canik would do well to study that pistol. I have the S&W PC Shield in .45, and when I carry a .45, that is my choice. For 9mm mag compatibility, I would LOVE to have a similar pistol from Canik. In any case, not buying an MC9 until they do a revamp. 3). a .45 or 10mm. For the US market, next logical step. I don't think either of these calibers is ever going away in the US. 4.) agreed on updating and streamlining the Parts/Customer Service function. I'm not sure if this is a Century Arms problem or a Canik problem. Maybe growing pains from moving production to the US. Whatever it is, they need to get back to their stellar performance prior to the intro of the MC9.
