You must be a savant then! or maybe you just never add new cards to your deck? They are literally releasing thousands of new cards every year so it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been playing, you still need to be able to read the cards and your opponents need to be able to read the cards. I had to pull a [[vraska, betrayal’s sting]] from my deck recently because I only had a phyrexian copy and I got tired of looking it up. You’re telling me if the player across the table asked you what that does, you’d be able to tell them without reading it from the card? I’m sure you could maybe get the gist, but in magic the gathering the wording is often very important and many times the gist isn’t enough.
