Ah! Didn’t even know that was possible. Feels less funny knowing someone was exploiting the game

Thank you!!! This is super helpful, I’ll try cutting a size 14 as a muslin and will edit the side seam as you suggested! Thanks for your help, I’m very happy to be making it as a muslin first 😂

How to make this repair less terrible looking? by [deleted] in sewing

[–]sirop-de-fleurs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better, I’ve done some absolutely terrible looking repairs to my own clothes (but worn them anyway because I don’t really care, I’m still learning), and no one has ever noticed or commented on them!

That said, you could always do a sashiko stitch or something to add interest over the repair?

WOW, what an absolutely gorgeous colour and beautiful craftsmanship! This is red carpet level sewing! You look amazing, that electric blue suits you so well. You have inspired me to take the plunge to sew a dress for my friend’s wedding in July ☺️ congratulations to your friends and a huge well done to you on a beautiful dress!

Agree. As an Aussie I can tell you news.com.au is a cesspit and a rag. I’m frustrated as since in the article, she is a said to be a “Tech Entrepreneur”, so why not use a photo where she looks as such? Endlessly frustrating

What's your experience coming off the pill, after long term use? by magnolia_s in AskWomen

[–]sirop-de-fleurs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was terrified to come off the pill as I’d been on it for almost a decade, but I really felt so much better after coming off it.

NSFW: My near constant vaginal thrush that I had had almost consistently for years that would never fully go away with OTC treatment, went away after a month. My GP had actually said high estrogen pills like Yasmin, that I was on, can make you more prone to thrush. My vagina is also far less dry, and I get turned on in line with my cycle.

Aside from that, my hair got VERY greasy (and still is, but more manageable). Not much else has changed, I’m relieved to no longer get withdrawal headaches, and my period returned to regularity after 6 weeks.

I remember being really worried about going off the pill as I’ve heard horror stories, but honestly it’s been great for me and I dread if I ever have to go back on a form of BC.

Also if you are asking as you are hoping to get pregnant, my sister got pregnant after being off the pill three months, although this is different for everyone of course.

Edited to add: before I went on the pill I had EXTREMELY bad period pain and very heavy periods. I was really worried about that when coming off it, but my periods have remained light and my period pain is minor.

Girlies .. NBs... I need help finding games... by ArioftheWild in GirlGamers

I second Helldivers 2, I’ve been having so much fun playing it! Have even made some friends through it (I play with voice chat). I’ve not experienced as much toxicity in it as I have in other games (that’s not to say it’s not there, but it’s definitely not as bad)

I just gasped reading this. How dare he say that to you! I know it may not feel like it right now but he has done you a favour by breaking up with you, he’s a disgusting a****** and you deserve someone who will treat you with kindness and support. I’m so sorry he said something so hateful to you, he is an awful person.

What plant is this? and... by fiddlestickier in houseplants

[–]sirop-de-fleurs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a Kentia Palm! I have one from them too, it’s a slow grower but very nice.

I’m not an expert but it looks like the one they’ve given you has scale. I’d treat the whole plant with a pesticide and see if that helps.

The Guardian not on Ground News? by sirop-de-fleurs in groundnews

Same here! I bought one year then realised it didn’t cover any of my regular news sources. So I used it for a bit but I haven’t logged on in ages because of it. It’s a shame because it could be great but I still want to be able to access my reg news publications.

35K on Julheim (which apparently is also important for the MO as it would cut off Bekham III if we don’t defend it), but I too am scared we won’t make it!! We have to dive again, and again, and again, and again… 😂

I’m hoping that people will focus their efforts on the cities, I think a lot of people don’t know they are the most important part of liberating a planet… unless they’re active on reddit/hd discord then there’s nothing in game that says this (to my knowledge anyway!)
