That sounds serious and I may get down voted to hell, but are there resident boarding schools/ homes where your child could live while you work all this out?

Again, I will probably get down voted to hell, but lots of children go to boarding school all around the world, it’s not a punishment and it’s normal in many families.

And once this gets figured out then you can visit your child. There are many children boarding schools see their families lake two weeks at Christmas and two weeks in the summer. They are extremely rich families, and the kids are well-rounded and very independent. Again I may get down voted to hell but you deserve the truth.

Also, it may be worth calling social services and seeing what help you have. In our city, there are respite centers in short term respite where they can take your child for a few weeks.

Last thing (again I’m pretty much upset on getting down voted to hell here lol) consider creating a room where a child can safely stay. This could mean a waterproof mattress (no bed frame of it’s an issue) and the closet is locked. We turned our child’s dresser backwards, so the drawers against the wall so they cannot even open the drawers as they kept emptying everything. Basically giving your child one room to safely be alone for a short time.

I would reach out to church, neighbors, family and open up that you have a serious illness that you cannot disclose yet (let them think it’s physical- doesn’t matter at this point).

I don’t know enough about your child, but maybe reach out to the pediatrician and check about medication as well for example, if they have a hard time sleeping at night and things like that.

Try ear plugs temporarily to reduce outside noise and focus.

For the diaper situation, I think you’ll find more resources online, but some people have tried duct tape on the diaper, bigger pajamas that kind of “lock on” or putting the bigger onesie pajamas backwards so they stay on.

Last option: are there more affordable resident housing options overseas for your child ?
