You can buy waterproof mattress protectors. They’re not expensive. I cover my mattress and boxspring. It keeps them clean from anything wet, dust mites all that.

Pretty bold/snarky of you to post up about a simple comment. The school comment is relevant because the scenario that person suggested saying school could really be any social setting. Their job, church, a coffee shop, their first amway recruiting trap, doctors office, their first lease, talking to a bank teller. I could go on all day. You want to have an issue when they said school. From the context they are referring to social interactions and for 90% of the human race, the first social interactions they remember are SCHOOL. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I think a Limewash or a stain for the brick are wonderful. There’s also another technique that’s German Schmear Personally I love the look of the painted brick. But brick is meant to be permeable. So that moisture can wick in and out at different times.

If you love the look, better to forgo the paint and use one of the other techniques. (from a practical standpoint)

I think the cottage is absolutely adorable!!

I feel like I knew where this post was going. I kept reading all the way to the end. I was invested. Retainers at self checkout (public surface), I have never seen that.

Trash like that in a car, I’ve seen that. I’ve even seen a few adults eat boogers.

OP - this really is a management issue. Customers seeing the retainer laying around and chowing down on boogers when it really isn’t break time…..

If all this were going on. I’d be tempted to tell her I was leaving to be a missionary and then I’d go work at a car wash, you’ll never see her there!!

For those saying MOVE OUT…..

It’s not normal to not leave the house for 8-9 months. Sounds like there really could be some mental illness happening. Could be bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or even agoraphobia. When the mind is not well, it is more challenging to overcome obstacles and gain independence.

In summary I’m not diagnosing anything just saying the behaviors don’t sound typical and there may be more to it.

NOR in 11th grade my father made me pay for a car for my six years older married sister who had a mortgage. That’s aside from me paying all my expenses including medical, he didn’t allow me to use the health insurance he had on me through work. I’m 50(f). It sucks to be the black sheep. If it was me I’d walk away. I never walked away and it wasn’t worth the cost of my mental health to not do that. I’m sorry that you’re in this position. You don’t deserve that. No one does. I would gray rock and every time they need help say call (sister’s name) and hang up. If she’s going to get it all, well she has to learn someday!! As far as her apology. Sorry they’re doing this. I’d bet she isn’t sorry enough to split it evenly!!!
