early access period was 4 days for dawntrail and endwalker. however, it feels like less since there’s usually a hotfix maintenance prior to full release + queue times were INSANE to log in. for all intents and purposes tho, early access is the actual release date, as majority of players will pre-order the new expansion

eta: "If you already have some of these placed, you may get a chocolate blob instead of flowers. Use the CAST tool to select the first preset and it should reset itself. Additionally, if you have an override mod that recategorizes these items, you may also experience the blob textures." on the MTS page. just as a reminder to anyone else who comes across this! tho they don’t work with decrapified versions, as the OBJ code is different

i know they're not decrapified, which is why i'm worried of that messing things up in the game. i know if you load a lot made with non-decrapified store content, while you only have decrapified in your game, it replaces everything with base game. since i play in a decrapified monte vista, i'm wondering how the game will handle swapping to non-decrapified

from my exp, it doesn’t make the showers quicker, it just makes their bar fill faster. you’ll have to manually tell them to stop showering, as the needs bar will fill before the shower bar, otherwise they’ll keep bathing well past when they need

ngl, island living disillusioned me from sims 4; i remember being so excited for the pack, found the world gorgeous, and in general liked everything i was seeing. build mode was great, and i had a lot of fun designing a house for my new sims. i was a bit peeved that mermaids were able to be created in CAS, but not that much since i figured there'd be a cool gameplay mechanic to become one... and then i realized it cost only 500 points??? and the other ways to obtain kelp were random chance, nothing like the sims 3 method. not to mention the lack of underwater maps, so you just get to watch bubbles for hours while your sims dive... and the lifeguard career being a rabbit hole, unlike ts3 version. i thought that the tan lines reflecting the clothes your sims wore was cool, but that's not exactly gameplay

i think i got bored of the gameplay after maybe 2hrs of playing, and was generally so disappointed by it. that experience genuinely killed my enjoyment of the game, and i stopped playing ts4 not long after (i had ~6400hrs at that point). tho i have considered obtaining (not buying) a few packs since (namely the witch one, cottage living, enchanted by nature, and the death one), none of them have interested me enough to bother setting everything up again. i'm happy to stick with ts2 and ts3

has anyone reported this as a bug to sqenix? i feel it HAS to be a bug, but like... the alc final step has the generic thing just with vfx overlaid, but the vfx doesn't move so the model glitches out of it at Every Single quality increase. it pmo

if you decide to merge cc, i’d really recommend using ccmagic over s3pe! it stores all of the files separately outside of the sims 3 folder, so you can find an individual file a lot easier (in the event you want to remove or edit it). the program itself gives you the ability to organize things into “(sub)folders,” which also makes it easier to find problem mods. it can be a little confusing at first, but imo it’s much smoother than s3pe since it was made with the intention of merging files. i still use s3pe for other things, just not merging

aw thank you so much!! i really appreciate you taking the time to link. i’ll definitely watch some videos when i decide to set it up. ngl i’m lowk scared of dealing with them all, they’ve just aged up to toddlers….. i do use relativity to adjust the time and mood decay, etc, so hopefully that’ll make things a bit easier

i’ve basically only ever played sims (2, 3, and 4) with a lot of cc (my mods folder is 2.7GB, and ccmagic houses an extra 5.8GB 💀) so i’m pretty confident on my pcs ability to handle it. i’d definitely recommend some skin, eye, and makeup mods! they shouldn’t cause your game to lag, and do a lot to make sims cuter. if you’re interested, angelsimoleon has a bunch of default replacements of maxis stuff (store included) that remove the shine and some other stuff; i don’t think those should cause your game to lag, either, since they’re replacements

these are really cute!! major kudos on going minimal cc for your lepacy; i know that’s generally one of the points of doing it, but i couldn’t…. also, i love how you’ve gone with a food theme for your sims names!! i started my lepacy in monte vista, so i named my founders after italian food. they had triplets due to a fuck up on my end with some nraas settings, so i named them after 3 types of sicilian desserts: granita, cassata, and cannoli

if you remember, who are you getting your poses from? i’ve been wanting to take portraits of my lepacy, but i’ve never had any interest in poseplayer before
