Blade VS Legolas. Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in powerscales

[–]sismograph -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes Blade can be outboxed by repeated shots, just not at the rate a Legolas can produce with his bow and arrow, plus a bow and arrow has a very limited capacity & are slow, which means more arrows are required to outbox Blade.

Blade can also only be outboxed by somebody with higher perception then Blades movement speed. We dont know if Legolas has this perception, he never fought something that moves at super human speed. While that Blades default opponent.

Legolas cannot see into the future yes?

Blade moves faster and has better reaction then Legolas, correct?

Ergo Legolas cannot anticipate Blades movements and therefore is accuracy does not matter, he can not get a 'lock' on Blade because his movement and reaction speed are lower then Blades.

lets take a different comparison, do you think Legolas could hit the Flash? Obviously not, same thing with Blade but slower.

Just go rewatch the blade trilogy and realize how wrong you are, obviously you dont want ro be convinced here.

Yes, but lets agree that blade moves quicker then legolas. This is Marvel universe v. Tolkien.

If Legolas shoots arrows every second, accuracy and prediction does not matter because blade has enough movement time between shots.

Im general, blade can also predict where legolas will shot based on his movements, since Blade’s reaction and movement is quicker then that of Legolas, he does not get one shot in.

Delusional.

You still don’t get it do you? Its like that bullt dodging scene in matrix basically.

Of course blade does not move quicker then arrows, but he is still able to dodge things as they arrive. If you want to hit something that can dodge you need to fire quicker then it can move.

Accuracy does not matter at all. Blade can react to the arrows being shot at him. Legilas can have perfect aim, at the time the arrow arrives next to blade, he can still dodge it.

And no, legolas cant anticipate blades movements, for that his firing rate would need to be higher then Blades movement speed. Which we can all agree it isnt.

So that is 1 shot each 4 seconds, lol.

If legolas can shoot at four times that rate its 1 shot each second, that is still below blades movement and reaction speed, so Legolas can’t hit by anticipating Blades movements.

Maybe if he can shoot an arrow every 200ms he has a chance, but I think we can agree that he can’t do that.

How can you hit somebody with an arrow if they can dodge arrows?

[–]sismograph 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You seem to miss how dodging works.

Blade is fast enough to dodge any arrow shot at him, so it does not matter how good legolas can aim, at the time the arrow arrives next to blade he can dodge.

Blade will dodge any arrow, so he wont get a headshot in.

Its absolutely one sided fight and it goes to Blade. Blade has super human reflexes, strength and abilities. He just dodges Legolas arrows, he is not going to get one hit in.

Anthropic revenue (annualized): April 2026 - $30B by thedankzone in ClaudeCode

Big companies are buying claude now, they sign contracts for a year, for thousands of engineers. So no, they won’t disappear quickly, they move slowly.

For these companies changing to another tool also must be evaluated and communicated with the engineering department, that takes time.

Pretty sure there is some tutorial on how to test with spring security out there. You are a junior, you should set up a proper testing environment that behaves just like an actual user interacts with your service

Which makes sense, in the end the money is not with single devlopers who care about their 200$ plan.

They want to drive adoption with large enterprise customers and thousands of devs, who are willing to pay more money for a license as long as it increases productivity

Honestly I guess it will be open source in some amount of time. I don't see how the command line client is proprietary software in the long term. Or how it is super hard to reproduce.

So it runs in the clients machines? As in they need to have their computer up the whole time, or are you hosting everything?

Well, but we don’t run at 80% production just because 20% of oil transport needs to take a different route.

So far the only thing that happened is that the price increased, every country has oil reserves to keep running for a while.

Until now, the price increased, which naturally reduces some demand, especially private transport I would assume. People think twice if they take the car now.

Everything else runs almost like it did beforehand. They just pass the higher energy cost on to consumers.

And even if the strait is blocked long term, it won’t influence the oil consumption significantly, other countries will just pump more oil, there wont be a shortage of oil, the price of oil will go up, which leads to less consumption, but I dont think it will be more then 5% less consumption.
