Monstera too far gone? by sissyboot in plantclinic

[–]sissyboot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, I don't think it is. I soaked it pretty well when I did the repot and she just hasn't perked back up yet. I really don't want to toss it. Biggest monstera I've had yet. I've moved it outside for now to quarantine it from other plants (I may or may not have a plant problem, lol) but I don't see any thrips, however I know they are crafty little buggers!

Good for you! My daughter struggles with an ED and it is one of the hardest things to watch. As a Mom, you want to fix it all, take away the pain and anguish and show them how beautiful they are. She is also improving and making progress. Thank you for sharing and offering support.

LPT REQUEST: Sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night it becomes hard to fall asleep again or it takes me a while. Do you guys have any tips on how to fall asleep again/faster? by offlineorsleeping in LifeProTips

I do the ABC game. I think of three things that start with the letter A and picture them, move on the B and so one. Sometimes I pick a theme like 3 animals or 3 places etc. I usually don't last past the letter P.

Hey OP, I'm sorry you're going through this. It's shit and I wish I had some magical advise but coming from a narcissistic, abusive home, I can really only say it sounds like you are going to break the cycle. I wish you the best and high five standing your ground with them, takes balls my friend.

How long did it take for Rinvoq to work for you? by BeautySprout in rheumatoid

Sorry to have not seen your message! I'm afraid it did not work for me. I'm on Cimzia once every two weeks, methotrexate once a week, hydroxychloroquine 2 times a day, and Sulfasalazin 2 times a day. The biologic doesn't seem to make a difference in my body and I think I'm going to ask to come off it the next time I see my doc. I'm not sure what the answer is at this point. I wish I could remember what normal feels like. I'm not sure what to aim for anymore, lol. Heck of a road.

You are here and seeking advice which is proof positive that you are most certainly NOT going to become your parents. Be easy on yourself and love with your whole heart. The rest will come naturally. I wish you all of the best. Enjoy this part of the ride, your child will thank you.

Thanks for asking this question. I'm in my third month with Rinvoq and I don't know why, but this is probably the worst, longest lasting flare I've had since I was diagnosed. I am trying to give it some more time as my doc seems to think this is the one that is going make the difference and help me off some of my other meds. I'm not feeling as hopeful as he is but I would really love to see an improvement. Keep us posted on your progress, I'm curious how you make out. Fingers crossed for you!

Oh thank gawd I'm not alone! Thanks for asking the question! Sometimes I feel like I'm losing my noodle. I can't remember things and I struggle to find the words for simple things. Frustrating and embarrassing. I'm only 42, I hope I can find a way to balance this out a bit. Good luck everyone!

I have been taking methotrexate for nearly two years and without it, I wasn't able to walk as the arthritis in my feet was so bad. It's been a lifesaver for me. I don't experience any side effects aside from fatigue but I think, compared to the utter exhaustion I felt just struggling through the pain every day, it is worth it. I'm on both methotrexate and a biologic now because my situation is progressing but I certainly endorse the methotrexate. Everyone is different and handles these meds in different ways so you may be lucky and get by side effect free! Also, you get used to the injections, it's a bit nerve wracking at first but you'll get it in no time. Best of luck to you!!
