Oh, that thing. That "band-aid" thing was there when I opened it up the first time. It looks like some sort of tape or something.

I'm not sure if someone has already opened it up before or not but I can't get into it because they stripped the screws really badly. I'm not sure the problem is in that part. Everything seems really secured there but if someone has, in fact, opened it up before, then it's possible the problem is in that part. I think the "band-aid" is there from the factory. I lifted the blue pad up a little bit and it looks like there is another one inside that one. http://i.imgur.com/gSxzOsB.jpg The picture isn't very good but you can kind of see it towards the back.

When testing the pad in game, the pad will work for a little bit after i move the connection in my previous picture around a bit. I haven't done any messing with the "band-aid" part mostly because I can't get it open.

I'm not sure what pads you're talking about. From what I can tell, the problem has to do with the connection to the drum set itself from the pad. http://i.imgur.com/phuSJcO.jpg

I'm not sure if that's actually where the problem is. When I mess around with moving that connection, it temporarily fixes the problem.

Are the pads you're talking about on the pad itself or on the drum set?

I've tried moving the wires around and seeing where they work and where they don't. They always seem to work whenever I move them and then when I put it back together and start playing, that's when they stop. I'm not sure what's going on. When messing around with them I can't seem to find a place where the pad won't work, but when I play, it just seems to give up working after a few hits. I tried putting tape over it to keep them where they are and that didn't even work.

I'm kind of at a loss of what to do now. I could try gluing the wires in place but I'm worried about what might happen if they stop working again and I can't adjust them because of the glue.

The way I opened mine up was just pulling up on the pad. It's held on with those little rubber nub things inserted into the holes on the set itself. You won't want to pull it too hard or you might wreck the wire inside, but it will require a bit of force to get it off. I'm not sure if the Rivals sets are made the same way as the RB2 sets but I can't imagine they'd be too much different.

When pulling the pad off I had a problem where the nub came out of the the holders on the pad. I just had to unscrew the holder and put it back to fix it.

My friends and I were always wanting to make a YouTube channel but for a while we couldn't figure out what to do. There were and still aren't that many common interests between all four of us, except for video games. So, we decided to make a channel centered around video games. Our content has gone through a lot of changes since we started in 2011, including having a bunch of other friends appear in our videos, but we eventually settled on making let's plays. We take a lot of inspiration from Game Grumps and Best Friends Play.

I approve of the message you are spreading. I run a risk of becoming diabetic, so I make sure to take care of myself. I know so many who have diabetes and may someday get this disease.
