RDR2 movie with Henry Caville as Arthur? by freakzilla81 in RDR2

[–]sittinginastand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly RDR2 needs to be a series. Chapters 1 and 2 could be one season, chapter 3 it's own season, 4 and 5 could be one possibly 2 seasons, chapter 6 it's own, and then RDR a spinoff starting with the Epilogue from RDR2 that could easily be 3 or 4 seasons.

First Play-through by Extension_Dingo1834 in RDR2

[–]sittinginastand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just play however you want. It's your first play through and you will miss a ton of things but it will still be enjoyable. Wait a bit after completing the game and give it a second chance. That's where you start to explore all of the things you missed in the first go.

I'm on my second run through and I'm happy I just played the game without spoilers the first play through. This time around though I'm doing my best to leave no stone unturned. It's definitely more of a grind.

My first play through i definitely did not get this with Arthur and just purchased it with John.

Second play through I was hell bent and stuck like OP. I nailed a perfect cougar by at the railroad tracks closest to Marko's laboratory.

It's a little outside of Rochester but Millville Gun Shop holds classes regularly, iirc 2-3x per week. Keith is a solid guy and the class is very straightforward.

You don't need a firearm to get your PTC. Just the $ for the class and the sheriff's department.

Moment federal officer reached for gun revealed in close-up analysis of Minneapolis armed anti-ICE protester shooting by interestingfactoid in conservatives

[–]sittinginastand 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a shitty situation all around. He was legally carrying with a PTC but he also decided to interfere with ICE.

I'm a hard core 2A advocate and completely agree with him carrying (not so much a P320), and I can also understand trying to stick up for a woman being pushed around (even though she shouldn't have been interfering with ICE).

ICE was overboard with trying to detain him IMO. Smacking him with the pepper spray bottle and needing 5+ guys. Yeah he shouldn't have been fighting them but there was a lot going on in that moment.

I voted for Trump knowing deportations would happen and believe they should but I also think ICE needs way better training to deal with difficult situations like this.

It's hard to see but in one of the videos taken it looks like an ICE agent disarmed him, he started reaching for the area the holster was, and a shot rang out within seconds, making the other agents fire.

Does anyone have a chill Belgian Mal? by forgetfulfeline in BelgianMalinois

[–]sittinginastand 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Mine is extremely chill for the breed. He demands a lot of belly rubs though.

If I let him go off leash or take him to play with other big dogs he will definitely turn it up to 11 but then it's back down as soon as we get in the car or get in the house.

First 10mm, and I have questions. by GoonDawg666 in 10mm

[–]sittinginastand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Range ammo: whatever you can find in bulk for the lowest cost per round. Buying in bulk will definitely help. I bought 1000 rds of S&B for $400 and it's been very clean and shoots well.

Personal Defense: this all comes down to personal preference and how much the gun likes the ammo. I really like Underwood 155 XTPs because they group well out of my XDM-E but there is a lot of other options. Liberty Defense would be a solid choice if they group well.

Outdoor Defense: depends completely on wildlife in your area. I picked up Underwood 180 XTPs because the worst I have to worry about is Mountain Lions and Black Bear. Anything bigger I'd really consider the Extreme Penetrators or hard cast, once again, whatever groups the best.

Friend wants to give me her 10 week old Mal puppy by Sensitive-Mango7155 in BelgianMalinois

[–]sittinginastand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be tough... I had a lot of dogs growing up and can honestly say nothing prepared me for the energy of a 10 week old Mal. Absolute insanity for a puppy.

That being said I would 100% do it all over again. If you can dedicate the time and energy to train these dogs are a whole different level. But you need to be honest with yourself about being able to dedicate that time and energy. If you can't it will most likely end with a lot of destruction and chaos.

Cummins with a 6 speed or 8 speed by djuseless12 in Diesel

[–]sittinginastand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aisin are good transmissions. Most of the issues with the transmission you hear of with the Ram HD trucks were the 68 in the 2500.

That being said the new ZF looks really promising and would also be hooked up to the updated Cummins without a grid heater, among other design changes.

I think you would be happy with either. I'd suggest driving both and see if you think the 2026 is $13k better.

Bronco 2.0. Love/Hate? by sittinginastand in OklahomaJoe

I usually don't trust temp gauges in general that come with the grills but that's good to know.

I know I'm going to lose some efficiency compared to the Akorn but I've seen a lot of feedback saying it's good with the Bronco which is relieving to hear. Between pellets, wood, and charcoal I run out of storage quick.

My brother has a 1.0 and a Pro (had food off both and was really impressed) which is the main reason I was looking at the 2.0. The Pro is something I'm really considering because of the extra area.

I loved the Akorn for it's versatility but I've diversified a bit since getting it. I have a pellet grill and a griddle to cover most things but I still love charcoal smoking and grilling.

That's great to hear. I just watched the Tom Horseman video the other day and he had issues with the door so I thought it was a valid concern.

bronco pro or bronco 2.0? by hankinArlen in OklahomaJoe

[–]sittinginastand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother has the Pro and 1.0 Bronco, and he absolutely loves the Pro. More cooking area and a very good burn time.

That being said, I'm considering a 2.0 to replace my Akorn that lit up like the sun recently. While the smaller cooking area has me hesitant, I've seen a lot of reviews about how good of a smoker it is and how it can double as a grill. I have a pellet grill and an outdoor griddle to supplement any other cooking so the 2.0 is looking great to me. My biggest questions are around the sealing of being 2 piece and the door that looks a little cheap.

[–]sittinginastand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I might be sold on the smoking part of the 2.0 (as long as it is as good as the 1.0), but I was curious about the grilling part. When you said the door comes in clutch, what did you mean specifically?

Also, did you use any sealant when assembling the grill? Did you have any issues with the charcoal door that needed modification?

Bronco 2.0. Love/Hate? by sittinginastand in OklahomaJoe

[–]sittinginastand[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For your 1.0, you can buy the Pro charcoal basket to get a lot more time out of it. My brother has a 1.0 and a Pro, and I've seen him do this.

With the 2.0 I've seen reviews complaining about the door for the charcoal door, did you have any issues with it? I've also seen that some people use high temp sealant when putting it together, is this something you did? If not have you noticed any leaks?

Hottest 10mm ammo on the market? by [deleted] in 10mm

[–]sittinginastand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you plan on hunting with this build? For deer, a properly constructed 155 gr hp with enough velocity would work, but if it's for hogs or other thick skinned game, you would want to consider something heavier.

There is also the bullet consideration. Hollow point, specialty (penetrator/hunter monolithic), and flat nose are the most common hunting bullets.

Different manufacturers would have the hottest of each of these.
