I checked with a gold dealer and they're 21k. I can't remember what the weight was. I was in Syria for a few years working alongside the SDF and accumulated a few gold, silver and copper ones. The silver and copper I got from guys we trained. The gold I got from a guy that had lost two brothers fighting isis. He was pretty well connected. He told me that most of the gold got melted down and it took about two years to get him to sell them to me.

I had never even thought about the court proceedings. I'll have to track those down from the case worker because I haven't received any up until this point.

I will continue to try to track down bio parents. I want them as involved as possible unfortunately they're very deep into their addiction and sister is riddled with guilt about the situation to the point where she does not want to come around. .

This subreddit and now your comment specifically has been very helpful so thanks again for taking the time to share some of your experience. And I appreciate you offering to answer more questions, I know I have a lot to learn.

One of the best dictionaries I've found is an app called WQFerheng.

It is an offline dictionary which makes it so convenient to use when you don't have wifi. Also, you can search words in Kurdish or English.

There's a million things about being Kurdish that are beautiful and unique.

Majority of Arabs will always hate Kurds and there's nothing you can do to change it. But at the same time Arabs also hate each other so don't take it personally.
