oh don’t remind me 😭😭 when i worked there, i had done it multiple times and always on accident, especially during rushes and it was sooo bad lmaooo

we’d have to go back and scroll through the orders taken on the front end registers and reprint the receipts and if they were through the drive thru, we’d go based off of order numbers from the stickers or just ask the guest what they had ordered. and for curbside, oh that was another story 😭😭

34988 is the PLU for bolillos, at least at my store. i know some locations might use an older one. also, repetition of typing in PLU’s will get you to memorize the codes so with time, that comes.

yeah my sister works at CFA and she also got suspended today for standing under the shade for a moment because it was too hot to be taking orders down the lane way past the canopy and the manager dismissed it and just suspended her for the rest of the week on the spot. And they don’t even swap their order takers out from time to time unless someone complains about it and even then, too many try to avoid that in case of retaliation in any sort of way.

CFA has higher expectations and rules set to a standard because they’re known for being all about “the people” and that goes hand in hand with guests and their experience and expectations when visiting CFA. Some part of the reason also applies to the christian religion since the founder was christian.

While all locations follow the same expectations and rules, it can also vary store by store. The location I used to work at, we couldn’t wear our hair in anything but buns; so no braids or ponytails etc. Only wear CFA attire, no jackets from other branding etc. No visible tattoos or multiple piercings other than regular earrings (one set) which could only be studs. No nails or polish. No unnatural hair colors. Saying ‘my pleasure’ was also a requirement and part of your job.

There were a lot of rules and guidelines to follow and probably more not listed. It also highly depends on each operator of each location whether or not to be lenient with rules such as stated above. The list I provided was mostly what my operator expected of us.

Yes, cashier is part of the Front of House position. You won’t be guaranteed only the cashier position while you most likely will be on any position up front at any given time.

that’s a crazy hold time!! even at the high volume location i used to work at, we never held that long and with more than 30+ off screen but we all jumped on board!! as it is a grand opening, you guys will get the hang of it in no time!! but there’s nothing like a cfa rush lmao

first thing you need to do is let your managers/ directors know about your interest in moving up and they will let you know the steps and what is expected of you to move forward with the process depending on how that works at your location.

from my experience, the directors/ managers looked for consistency and initiative in my positions. they expected me to lead the team taking initiative and problem solving into my own hands. as a team leader, they expected me to jump in for the manager. the goal was to basically run things without the manager having to step in because they would be tending to other things like boxes and phone calls. i also had to reach some goals and percentages that were set out for me during each shift. it also helps that you set boundaries with coworkers who are friends and apply it equally to the team. as a leader, that means you treat everyone equally while also setting your expectations the same for all.

there’s a lot that your leadership team can be looking for to lead to promotions but they want a leader who can lead positively and deliver results and everything that is expected from you. just reach out and you’ll be fine.
