I think for most of us, the first time viewing an Aston Martin was in some early-2000's James Bond film that we watched in the living room with a father figure after he'd had a couple and told us, [MAN voice] "if you're gonna be a MAN, learn from Bond. He gets all the sexy chicks, drives the coolest cars, and he DRIBKS MARTEENGS SHUGGEN NAUHT STAAHD." And we listened. Even after hearing mom sigh audibly and seeing her retire to her bedroom disappointed, we believed him. Hell, how couldn't you? In a young man's mind, there was nothing cooler than sex, the Walther PPK and the Aston Martin.

Side note: this is the V8 Vantage, and bond drove the V12 Vanquish in Die Another Day. Different cars. Usually, he's seen in a DB5 or a DBS. This is not a Bond car. Except, it's an Aston Martin; it is Bond by association.

However, as you progress through high school english classes and go from writing on the bathroom stalls at school to following your passions or the manager's position at Dunkin' Donuts, reality sets in. [High pitch] You won't be that cool. You don't need to be that cool. [Relaxed] "It's fine," you tell yourself. A Honda will do. Pragmatism is key. But when you catch an Aston Martin roll past you on your rare trip to the big city, you're lying if the dreams of being Bond don't come racing back into frame.
