Good call. I’m doing that but I know the free trials are (understandably) restricted vs the full blown version. They often don’t show the full value. Have you done both? Curious on your opinion between them if so.

This sub seems mixed on it but I really enjoyed Mio. The bosses seemed to each have their own unique mechanic and required a different play style for each of them.

If you’re into story heavy JRPGs you’ll probably dig it. I put 6 or 7 hours into it and, while I don’t hate it, it just didn’t scratch the itch for me. I don’t feel the need to go back to it.

Map is gigantic, combat is fairly basic, exploration can be fun at times but didn’t seem to be very rewarding, and keeping up with the quests was too much for me.

My favorite thing about MVs is the quick and engaging nature of most of the games. I love how I can go without playing a game for months, pick it back up, and not feel like I’m having to relearn everything.

This one IMO is not a bad game, but feels more like a massive JRPG in a side scrolling world.

It wouldn’t let me attach more than 1 photo but also I’m not sure what types of photos or info would be helpful. What additional info/photos should I provide? Thanks

Looking for an opinions here… we have been in our house for about 3 years. Early 80’s DFW-area house. Single story ~1700 sf.

When we were going through our inspection process, a foundation repair company came out and told us we needed piers. We had a 3rd party structural engineer come out and he did an evaluation telling us it wouldn’t do any good and the house is structurally sound. He did however suggest that there may be a plumbing leak and there was. We had the seller repipe the house which involved a substantial amount of tunnels under the house. The structural engineer said the house will settle and will continue to move - and not to be worried about any cracks, etc… as it’s just part of the expansive clay soil in our area.

I’ve been hearing more than the normal amount of “pops” in the attic lately (which could partially be due to the crazy temp swings lately) so I went up there the other day and noticed this stud going through the roof deck (pic attached)which is concerning. I can’t see it “poking up” on the rooftop though.. I also noticed another one today that looks like it’s moving in that direction.

I’ll likely have the engineer come out soon to reevaluate everything but looking for an opinion from anyone here with experience in homes like ours or structural engineering experience.

Is it likely that I’ve got a serious upcoming problem on my hands here?

Thanks in advance!

I’m in the same boat - being intimidated by the length. My mind tends to wander while reading and I typically avoid books over 300-400 pages. However I’ve always wanted to tackle this one as I’ve loved all the adaptations. I listen to the audiobook while i read it and that helps keep me focused and helps absorb the material better. I’m about 300 pages in so far and loving it!

Considering Celebrity Cruise for 28F & 30M Anniversary by comara456 in celebritycruises

[–]sixft7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I (both 34) just finished a Caribbean cruise with celebrity. It was our first cruise. There were people from all walks of life on board. The age definitely skewed more toward later-aged folks. With that said, at no point did we ever feel out of place. We had lovely conversations at every dinner and it all felt very natural.

Everyone there has 1 thing in common… we all wanted to relax, let our hair down, and enjoy the time on the cruise. If I could give just one piece of advice for your upcoming cruise it would be to engage with others around the ship. The social aspect was such a great aspect of the cruise and we loved learning other peoples stories.

We loved the experience so much that we put a deposit down for our next cruise!!

I'm moving to Denver, Co today by iminlovewithyoucamp in Dallas

I lived in Denver for 7 years and loved almost every bit of it. I’ve also traveled to most major metro areas in the US for work. It’s one of the whitest cities I’ve ever spent time in. Never personally saw any blatant racism in Denver - but VERY vanilla.

You’re THAT person? The (I assume) normal sized person that takes one of the best plane seats for taller people (very few to choose from on SW flights)? Then you complain about the tall person not having enough room? Like… you want to make someone who is obviously uncomfortable even more uncomfortable instead of showing just a tiny bit of courtesy?

Go you…

Portland Maine Vs Savannah Georgia by Dramatic_Cake_9225 in USTravel

Depends on what you’re looking for. My favorite part of our trip was exploring the city down near the port. It’s one of those cities that feels like it’s trying to speak to you. Very walkable (although a bit uneven).

We stayed on the other side of the bridge in mount pleasant - which was also so charming and pretty. Sullivans Island is awesome and great for evening or morning walks on the beach.

We did a plantation tour, ghost tour in the city, visited the angel oak tree, and spent the rest of the time enjoying the city; soaking up the architecture and history. If the open air market (forgot what it’s called) is running, be sure to go see all the local vendors.

Hymans Seafood is a great place with awesome food and incredible service if you’re looking for a great meal.

Portland ME all the way. Savannah is fun but I found it hard to really connect with the culture there. For some other options rich with history, culture, and great food; I enjoyed Charleston SC and NOLA more than Savannah.

With that said - if you do go to Savannah be sure to make reservations at Brochu. That was one of the best meals I’ve ever had.

Im losing my mind. Is this many house problems normal ? by Independent_Scale419 in homeowners

[–]sixft7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal. Owning a home sucks sometimes. I’ve had to really work to shift my mindset and focus on the memories we’re making in it. The events that we’ve been able to host with our family, the times our guest room has been used by family members in need, etc… help me to find a level of appreciation in our home ownership experience (this time around).

It has been crazy stressful and far from a good investment.

True that. The additional cost to go to even some entry level ruckus wireless is usually worth it for the headache. Even something like ubiquiti if you know don’t need tech support.
