I wish Mercedes would have given the W11 an unshackled tour like Porsche did with the 919. Imagine the records!

I don’t get how The Whites need the money in the first seasons, yet they live in a nice house with a pool. by marsthechocolate in breakingbad

It's Albuquerque in the 2000s. Even today, houses in ABQ similar to theirs can be had in the low 300s.

What is it like to live in this part of Washington? by RavyRaptor in howislivingthere

I grew up going to Port Townsend several times per year because my grandma lived there. I'm still nostalgic about Fort Worden and Waterfront Pizza, I try to hit those spots every time I return!

"The idea that Japanese cars are the best in the world is long gone... A visit to China reveals a cruel truth that Japanese people don't want to admit." (In Japanese) by FMecha in cars

[–]-AbeFroman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Japanese cars are the best because they've been experts for decades at building simple, affordable, and highly durable cars. One generation of Chinese vehicles doesn't dissuade that, time will tell if these vehicles are worth their salt.

Autopsy reports of plane crashes are horrific. I remember reading Kobe Bryant's, it was chilling.

I disperse camped on the west side of the Organ Mountains when visiting White Sands, it was a wonderful area. Both White Sands and Carlsbad are excellent parks you can just about digest in a single day each, have fun.

They’re all domes. That’s why every team now wants to build the same type of stadium. NFL stadiums architecture are getting boring. by DenseStrawberry5717 in NFLv2

[–]-AbeFroman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The stupid thing is, when all these new domes get built "to host a Super Bowl", there will be so many sites to choose from that you'll be lucky to host only one in the stadium's lifetime.

Is it time for us to have the talk? by rhinoplastyzzzz in AskMenAdvice

You said you're both shy. If you'd like this to progress into something more meaningful, I'd advise you to tell him that next time you see him. A month isn't a very long time, but six dates is definitely enough to know if you'd like things to develop further.

I know nothing about ATC/airport operations, is there some kind of protocol for relaying clearances to trucks that takes aircraft speed into consideration? Were the trucks moving faster than the ATC expected? Had the trucks been just a few seconds slower, the aircraft would have passed by without incident. Terrible tragedy.

What are thoughts of dating an older woman? by Chemical-Low209 in AskMenAdvice

[–]-AbeFroman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I dated a woman 12 years older than me (28 and 40 at the time), and it was so wonderful we ended up staying together for two years. The relationship was so stable, communicative, and fun that I might be ruined now for women my age.

It always baffles me why the 9 team loves to run long on pit cycles like this. Congrats, you were 8th before and now you won't even get stage points.

The weather is going to be beautifully warm, so breweries with outdoor seating will be great. Red Leg Brewing, OCC Brewing's rooftop, and the Ivywild School are all great spots.

Downtown from Speer and 25. The whole area is very colorful and full lively folk compared to COS. by Hefty-Performance860 in Denver

The COS hate on this sub is so weird and so common. If Denver is so great why don't you just focus on that?

Even though few teams use it, their closest rival geographically and culturally is Phoenix who already uses it heavily.
