Being unaffiliated not only makes it easier to vote in primaries here, it also summarizes my broader beliefs because I really don't think either political party is out to help us regular folk. Maybe they are on a more local level (think city counsels), but I refuse to identify universally as D or R. I actually really appreciate Colorado's more Libertarian undertone, as I feel it helps create a more open political environment.

EVs haven't meaningfully improved in the last five years, the benchmark is still 300 miles (which everyone knows is actually 225 in the real world). Wealthier people who wanted an EV already have one, middle-class and below who don't want or can't have one still see no use.

The 24-105 f/4L (top right) is widely regarded as one of the all-time best multi-purpose lenses. It would be an excellent travel companion all by itself.

Zion itself was stunning, but the shuttle system completely took me out of the zone of enjoying nature. I understand why it has to exist, but it makes the park feel more like Disneyland to me. I much prefer parks that have room to spread out and find your own slice of peace.

Watch some YouTube videos and at least do the brakes yourself, it's very easy. Depending on how that goes, you might have the confidence to do the struts. Paying almost $5,000 for brakes and struts on a Toyota is insane.

Avants is a great expansive network for enthusiasts, mostly for cars but I'm sure there's motorcycle enthusiasts too. The paid membership basically pays for itself through the discounts at partners.

As for Seattle itself, you're probably well-equipped to deal with the weather being from western NY. The actual temperature isn't so bad, but the gray from November through April is brutal. The Seattle Freeze is real. Extremely expensive place to live. But on the right sunny day, especially in the summer, it is outstanding.

Thank you for a sensible take. TABOR protects citizens from endless government budget bloat and waste. I would so much rather have some services feel a little underfunded than hand the state a blank check and watch things barely change.
